Identifiable hero
I liked the hero/narrator even before anything really happened in the story. No matter how weird, everything was logically believable. I hated the cliffhanger ending, however.

Yeah, nope
The format is fine, the narration is great, it’s just the plot that sucks.
Without giving any spoilers, I’ll pretend I’m Ryan and ask: “So why’d they make that decision?”, with the answer being, “So the plot could happen.”, is a story not worth listening to… for me.

Not bad
The beginning was painfully chatty. A lot of irrelevant words to explain irrelevant things I was not interested in. Afterwards it became a little better. It is a nice story, interesting and imaginative.
