Publisher's summary
The Corps of Discovery goes where most men fear to tread - unexplored alternate Earths!
Bill Clark thought he had joined the Corps to explore new planets, only to find out there was a lot more to it than that. His new home is far freer than the one he left, but also more dangerous.
Bill begins to wonder if he'll be able to survive on these new worlds. It’s not just the Pleistocene predators he has to avoid, but somebody is actively trying to kill him and the woman he loves.
Is his life really worth joining the Corps?
Join Bill in this cross-time adventure as he finds out that adventure generally means someone else in danger in a faraway land, and he's on the adventure of his life.
A great read for lovers of action and adventure.

Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Story
Three months ago, Tansy Bloom quit monster hunting. Since then, she’s been trying to live a normal life (whatever that means), but ending up single, unemployed, and living on a boat outside her godfather’s pub definitely wasn’t part of the plan. So, when Tansy’s ex-husband – fellow monster hunter Rex Barclay – turns up like a bad penny and asks for her help with his latest investigation, Tansy reluctantly agrees. At first, the job appears to be a straightforward monster hunt – following a spate of large creature sightings, Rex believes a werewolf is on the loose in Norfolk.

Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

novel storytelling, worth it!
I listen to books each day. This was novel and enjoyed it, grateful there was a sequel! Narration was fine, surprised it wasn't as bad as I feared. have had humans make more mistakes. Would highly recommend

Sounds so real.
Story content, Woodlore, and xenobiology was well thought out. Narration is supposed to be Virtual Voice. I could not tell it different from a person. Hope it does not ruin their jobs.

Decent
The story is okay, occassionally a little heavy on the technical specs, but not bad. the AI narration isn't great, though I've definitely heard narrators I like a LOT LESS. I'm glad it was included with membership, because I'd be much more unhappy if I'd had to pay for this one

DEAR GOD
I want all those hours of my life back. Sure interesting-ish story and the best virtual voice, but there is ZERO PLOT. This is less a novel than a PARTIAL diary of the protagonist.
There isn’t even an ending!

Bad voice-over
The story isn’t awful, but the animated voice is annoying and just doesn’t flow. Trying to find this book with a real narrator.

I love science fiction, space, and fantasy
I don't understand why so many fictional genre writers feel the need to push socialism and degrade traditional values. it's so prevalent in these genres that it makes me feel dissuaded from listening any more. Are these authors paid to push the agenda? these are learned people who've had access to history and what this ideologies propagate. do they want a dystopia for our future. they don't like violence but their only sellable content is inherently violent. can someone explain it to me? please!
