So strange to listen to Justin story.

The fact that it Justin connecting to the person who he bullied all his life is a nice troupe to listen to. He hear two had so many barriers to jump over and learn to trust each other and their feeling. Good story.

Love the stories

Highly recommend this book and all of Kelly Fox’s novels. The plot is slightly out of the norm, making for really interesting situations… and her humor is so dark, love it. Declan’s narration is perfect and makes the story so much more engaging.

Sworn Enemy

Loved it. No surprise there though. Loved seeing some of the old gang too.

If you’ve devoured all the other series before this one, you’ll want to enjoy this one too. If you haven’t devoured them, what are you waiting for?

You’ll want to go in order though. Otherwise some of this story probably won’t make much sense.

Declan does a wonderful job as usual.

LOVED IT!

Declan Winters does an amazing job of bringing this story to life.
I love how Kelly Fox can redeem a character to the point that the reader falls in love with them.
She does just that with Justin. He has been a terror to everyone around him until he hits rock bottom and loses everything. Seeing him rebuild himself with total honesty and true regret for the past is amazing.
Charlie is returning to the place that almost killed him. He has overcome so much and lives his life openly and honestly.
Kelly has a wonderful content/trigger warning at the beginning so please read that. If heavy suicide themes are difficult for you, this isn’t the book for you.
Watching these two damaged men heal together is beautiful. They certainly have ups and downs. Both still dealing with the traumas from their past.
To see the love and the peace they offer each other is such a gift.
I loved the sweetness in Justin and the protectiveness in Charlie.
What a great kick off the the new Wild Heart Ranch series.

Darn it, Kelly! Where’s my tissue?!

I’m not usually a fan of enemies to lovers tropes. I knew I liked a lot of her other stories with characters like the Bash brothers, so I took a chance. Take her warning to heart. There is some serious trauma in the backgrounds of these characters. I found myself tearing up many times. My only complaint was there was A LOT of introspective thinking with the characters and a lot of dialogue regarding therapy, characters histories, motivations, etc. Sometimes the monologues or conversations seemed to go on and on and interrupted the flow of the story. I could relate to some of the trauma and emotions that the characters were feeling so at times this book seemed really heavy. It all came full circle with a happy ending though. The narrator did a pretty good job. Sometimes his Scandinavian accent for Eric sounded more Native American to me. Sometimes I wasn’t sure which main character was speaking. Overall the narrator did a good job.

Kelly Fox has written an incredibly beautiful and heart wrenching bully redemption story.

Declan Winters brought Charlie and Justin to life in a way I hadn’t imagined. The strength AND vulnerability he brought forth is flawless.

Such an amazing story!!

I am loving Declan's voice and narration sooooo much!!! I can't wait to see him again and finally get to gush over him in person!!

While this book is set in an already established world, Kelly does a wonderful job in making the reader feel fully immersed without needing to have the previous series, HOWEVER, you will most definitely benefit from having read them.

With that said, I truly loved this book. It was kind of like a redemption story for Justin and just an overall therapeutic ending for both him and Charlie. I loved how both men were just so open with their feelings and emotions and the rawness of Charlie’s mom’s anger was felt as if she was talking to me in real life. I felt what they all felt and it hurt but then slowly it got better with forgiveness and time. It was truly beautiful.

We got a glimpse into what Charlie and Erik do and there wasn’t much action on that front as the story was mainly about Charlie and Justin, but I loved the first job Justin went on when they rescued that little boy. I hope to see Justin in more missions with C & E.

another great listen

This author writes interesting and well developed characters. Each story is uniquely theirs. Really enjoyed this and narration was perfect!
