Publisher's summary

If you were 99 years old and on your deathbed and were given a chance to come back to today, what would you do right now?

Matt Dahlia was a recent college grad with no direction in his life: his business was dead on arrival and all his friends had left town. He was broke and searching for belonging in a world that didn’t understand him. That is, until he serendipitously met Thomas, who not only felt the same way he did, but had a project in mind: Together, along with two more like-minded strangers, they were going to move into a one-bedroom apartment and film themselves doing 30 things they had never done before in 30 days.

That summer project changed their lives forever: it pushed them out of their comfort zones, bonded them for life, and allowed them to reach a wide audience online. Their journey would eventually become Yes Theory, a massive movement of millions of people living by the philosophy of seeking discomfort.

In this memoir, Matt reveals the extreme highs and lows of Yes Theory, sharing his own along the way. This is a story about the sacrifices it takes to make a dream come true, what happens when a small group of friends suddenly have the attention of millions of strangers online, and what it means to say goodbye when everything seems to be going so well.

But most of all, it’s a reminder to ask yourself that most important question: what do you want out of life?

I could listen to this for days

As a Yes theory fan it was a privilege to get the "BTS"-insight into the team and especially Matt who I relate to so much. I loved the story, the fact that he narrated it himself and I only wish it was even longer!

From a Seeker ⚡️⚡️⚡️

I have been apart of this community for 6 years. Watching the growth, the success and the life these friends have given the world. I came in knowing much of their story, but left truly understanding. This book was so incredibly honest and needed. As a person who struggles with control & anxiety…I needed this challenge, and this reminder of what is important in life. Thank you Matt. Wishing you all the happiness 🤍

Great read for some inspiration

Such a great book. I only discovered Yes Theory on YouTube a few months ago. I have since then watch many of their videos and find them very inspirational. It has encouraged me to push myself out of my comfort zone and grow. This this book was a great listen to hear how all you guys met and how it all started. I found it very cool to know your guys's backgrounds and who played what roles as a business owner myself. I relate with Matt and so many ways as I am on a similar path in my life right now.

A Relatable Journey of Growth: My Take on Yes Theory's Book by Matt

Matts book for Yes Theory is a heartfelt narrative that resonates deeply with anyone looking to embrace life's uncertainties. His honest account of the ups and downs faced by the Yes Theory team is not just inspiring but incredibly humanizing. Reading about their challenges and triumphs, I felt a profound sense of connection and less alone in my own journey.

Matts vulnerability in sharing his fears and doubts adds an authentic touch, making the book more than just a story – it's a companion in the journey towards saying 'yes' to life. It's a powerful reminder that stepping out of our comfort zones, despite the fears, can lead to building something extraordinary.

This book isn't just yes theory’s story; it felt like it was partly mine too, offering a blueprint for a more adventurous and meaningful life. It's a poignant, relatable guide for anyone seeking inspiration to make a change and feel less isolated in their aspirations.

The book I needed

I just got it a couple of days ago, and I'm nearly finished with it. Found this book at a time when I needed it the most. Right now I'm changing my life for the third time this decade. Nearly starting from scratch and this book is what I need in my life right now.

Thank you so much Matt & Derin for writing this.
