Had this book appeared in the 1940s, it might have spared the world much grief. Even so, its appearance in 1963 meant that free-market advocates had their first full-scale treatment of this crucial subject.

Great book, alright narrator.
Murray Rothbard’s most famous book does a wonderful job explaining what the state is, and what it isn’t. It’s a must for anyone who is interested in anarchism.
However, I am not a huge fan of the narrator and the editing can be abrupt between chapters.

A must read for all Americans
professor Murray Rothbard breaks down the fundamentals of state power versus individual liberty. No work better exemplifies the world we live in today. The oligopolistic Power of state and corporations are destroying United States year over year. This 75 page book simplifies The world we live in

terrible editing
The book is great, but every chapter is cut short by a word or sometimes a paragraph. The editing ruins what should be five stars. It is only 7 chapaters...
