Publisher's summary

A full-length standalone romantic comedy from USA TODAY best-selling author R.S. Grey.

Beau Fortier starred in most of my cringe-worthy teenage fantasies. I met him when I was a junior in high school, a time that revolved exclusively around bad hair, failed forays into flirting, and scientific inquiries into which brand of toilet paper worked best for stuffing bras.

That is, until Beau moved into the small guest house just beyond my bedroom window. A 24-year-old law student at Tulane, Beau was as mysterious to me as second base (both in baseball and in the bedroom). He was older. Intimidating. Hot. Boys my age had chicken legs and chubby cheeks. Beau had calloused hands and a jaw cut from steel.

Our interactions were scarce - mostly involving slight stalking on my end - and yet deep down, I desperately hoped he saw me as more of a potential lover than a lovesick loser. Turns out, I was fooling myself. My fragile ego learned that lesson the hard way.

Now, 10 years later, we're both back in New Orleans, and guess who suddenly can't take his eyes off little ol' me. My old friend, Mr. Fortier. But things have changed. I'm older now - poised and confident. My ego wears a bulletproof vest. The butterflies that once filled my stomach have all perished. When I was a teenager, Beau warned me to guard my heart. Let's hope he knows how to guard his.

Another great book from R.S. Grey. When you run into your teenage crush 10years later and you find out that the only reason he didn’t pursue you was because you were still in high school while he was in college. Lauren has been in love with Beau since she was 17. She comes back to town and tries to pretend like he doesn’t affect her and Beau is in hot pursuit of her and she finally finds out he’s always been in love with her from the moment they met. It’s a cute, humorous story. R.S. Grey never disappoints me.

I tried to like this one - I really did

I really tried to like this one. As the story started out, I just knew Lulu would come back, after college as a smart, successful and mature adult. Not so much.... she is the epitome of the term ‘airhead’. I loved Beau he is the epitome of a real man. He needed a real woman. The narrators did a good job though!

One of my favorites by R.S. Grey!

I always read reviews that say it’s laugh out loud funny and they rarely are... this is!! The combo of story and narration are so great. I read it first but like the audible version better... again narration is perfect especially by Luci!!

I’ve read most of R.S. Greys books and this one won’t disappoint! Snarky, sarcastic and vulnerable wrapped up in a Beau. See what I did there? :)

Run, don’t walk, to listen to this one.

A great Romantic Comedy

How fun was this book?! This was a hilarious romantic comedy set in New Orleans that transitions from the past to the present. There is a bit of a forbidden feel when Beau and Lauren initially meet because she is still in high school and he is a twenty odd year old law student. Lauren has a huge crush on Beau and wow is this girl bold. She threw herself at him, quite aggressively I may add but Beau was the perfect gentleman.

The voice of Lauren was ridiculously funny. She was a privileged private school girl with concerns of pool parties and boys sending instant messages to her. The smallest of things were life altering events to her. I don't know why it was so much fun to be inside the head of this teenage girl but it was just so funny! She was quirky and awkward and had such a bubbly personality.

After a huge natural disaster, Lauren and Beau get separated but then reunite when Lauren moves back home 10 years later. Now with no barriers, Beau is focused on pursuing Lauren. The voice of Beau was smooth, with full on southern charm. He was sexy and completely swoon worthy! He has also come a long way and achieved so much as a successful lawyer and businessman. Lauren feels slightly burned from his apparent lack of interest years ago and tries to resist his charms but it's futile and she knows it. There were a few great moments of sexiness and their chemistry was palpable.

This was a great love story with huge LOL moments that had me constantly laughing or smiling while listening to this book. A great fun read!

Renaming My Husband Beau...

..Just kidding...but seriously! I love this author! I love the storyline and both the characters. The hero in my eyes is dark and mysterious and sexy as hell... and our heroine is so adorable, I love her to death- she’s quirky and fun and reminds me of... me! I wish this book had an epilogue, I’m all about that happy ever after, and it’s delivered, I just like the nitty gritty deets!

Well Let’s See..

So the narration was great. Joe Arden has a totally sexy, I could listen to him read the phonebook kind of voice. Luci Christian has an adorable voice and their banter along with her cuteness works well for a story about a young girl/grown up girl’s crush. The actual STORY, however, well it was cute enough, I guess, but it left me a little wanting, I guess. The sex scenes were mediocre at best and very anticlimactic, no pun intended. It got a bit hard to take at times with Lauren’s lack of self esteem, holding back for so long crap, and could have been maybe 5 chapters shorter. It wasn’t a bad book, I did finish it, but it won’t make it on my, “boy I really loved this one” list. I just don’t get all the rave reviews and trust me, I’m a total romance story kind of girl.
