Publisher's summary

Lady Elizabeth Wetherby, formerly Crawley, has married the wrong man, after being duped by his identical twin brother. Now, to escape scandal, she and her new husband have taken refuge at Dunbocan, their Scottish estate. Having been a highly popular and active member of the ton, she worries that being stranded in the Highlands will be a horrible bore. But how can one be bored when a ghost haunts one's home?

Michael Wetherby has been in love with Elizabeth Crawley, now Wetherby, since the day he met her. So, when his identical twin brother suggested they trade places one night, he was happy to oblige. But the charade got out of hand, and the next thing he knew, he was leg-shackled to a woman who didn't want him. Now, they both must make a choice: be miserable together, or learn to love one another. Either way, till death do them part.

A bit slow paced

I never felt as connected to the characters as I like to be. Plus, I didn't really get into the paranormal aspect of the story.

The most boring ending I've ever heard

A few gaps in the story line, and unanswered questions didn't hinder my enjoyment of the story until I heard the words, "The end." Seriously?! After the great build up, that was the ending? The epilogue wasn't any better.

Interesting Premise, Bad Execution

The story had potential to be unique. But main characters are too damn irksome. The hero is a shallow dingus. He is always either laughing at his wife or he is mad at her. "Why won't she drop everthing and pay attention to ME!" He seems more like a 16-year-old boy. Needy, not sexy. Also he tricked her into the marriage and thinks she should get over it and love him right away. And she does. But he is still pouty.

The heroine is not my favorite. She is literally being haunted. So her mental state makes sense. But I still found her not that likeable. I can't explain. Maybe I just wanted her to kick her husband in the nards once ... or twice.

Narrator is a bit below average. Accents are not good. But I have heard worse.
