Publisher's summary
Elizabeth Lapp is a successful physiotherapist exchanging letters with her Amish family only at Christmas. But this year’s letter begs her to return home, to assist with her mother.
Andy Miller’s heart was broken when Elizabeth chose an Englischers life. Harsh words passed between them and deep wounds created. When he sees Elizabeth arriving home he is elated, but when Elizabeth does not acknowledge him, he knows the bitterness remains.
When Elizabeth learns that her mother is being treated with Amish remedies, by Andy, she is scornful, yet when Elizabeth’s mother insists on continuing, Elizabeth becomes irate and a cold war between Elizabeth and Andy ensues. But when Elizabeth sustains a painful injury it is Andy that comes to her aid and Elizabeth is shocked to find herself healing. Now she is forced to question what she has learned in the Englisch world.
As Elizabeth struggles to deal with the Amish faith, she finds herself on a journey she never expected, but when some difficult news is delivered right on Christmas she is forced to a crossroads.
Will Elizabeth take the path that God is guiding her to, and find the life God intends for her?
