About this listen

Christmas had lost its charm and wonder. Mrs. Rush hated the feeling, but was powerless to fix things. Traveling to visit relatives for the holidays, the Rush children pass the time with their eyes glued to the screens of their devices. That is, until the flashing lights of a state highway patrol car bring their trip to a sudden and unplanned-for stop.

Overall ok

Over all it was ok. The story line was to be expected. It is not worth the cost though. I found it annoying that the adults were called Mr and Mrs so and so (I can’t remember their last name now) vs their first names. It felt off. I probably would not recommend this book as an audio to people. Maybe if part of a book of short stories, but not as a stand alone.

It was okay

Morris always has clean, sweet stories that are safe for the whole family. This was very short and sweet, but not my favorite of hers. While a great idea, there wasn't really enough time to do this kind of story justice.

A nice short story

What a coincidence that I wold listen to this book during the Covid situation. It certainly felt applicable to life these days.
The story is good and well written. The narrator was clear in her speaking and did a nice job of keeping you interested in the book.
