It was mehh
When I read the preview of this book I was excited and looking forward to the story. Devny Perry is one of my favorite authors so I figured this would be another fabulous listen. Unfortunately the story line was a huge let down. I wasn't thrilled with the pace of the main characters relationship. It didn't feel realistic or on base with how Devny normally builds her characters. Gigi was fine, nothing really stood out to me with her. I was also disappointed with how little narration Jess had, especially with Joe Arden being the narrator.
I wanted to like it, and now I am not sure I will continue with the series.

I'd pick the bear...
I'll start by saying, i really love several of Deveny Perry's series. This book however... not so much. its mostly just the MMC. He is rude and disrespectful theoughout the story. Throwing a remote control, telling a 4 yr old to shut up, making fists, shouting at mother and child, disregarding parental, financial, and personal boundaries. I'm all for a protective, grumpy MMC but this guy was a awful. I'm going to jump ahead a bit in this series and see if it's better a few deeper in.
