Publisher's summary

We have real hope we’re called to share. But how we share it makes a difference.

Christians today face a dilemma: In a world that seems to reject everything we believe, how do we walk closely with God without caving to pressure or alienating those we hope to reach?

In this eye-opening new book, Chris Hodges provides a solution by examining the life of the prophet Daniel, who persevered in a corrupt culture that closely resembles our own — and emerged as an influential force in God’s redemptive plan.

Full of scripture and seasoned with Hodges’ candid personal insights, The Daniel Dilemma shows us that standing for truth isn’t about winning the argument; it’s about winning hearts. And when we learn the secret of connecting before correcting, we discover that we can hold firmly to biblical beliefs without becoming obnoxious, insulting, or mad; stand strong while loving others well; and respond to today’s hard questions without compromising grace or truth.

With fresh insights and practical ideas, Hodges encourages Christians struggling with our cultural reality to hold God’s standards high and his grace deep — just as Jesus did, and just as his followers today are called to do.

OUTSTANDING

This book is so right on. He is relevant, compassionate, urgent and persuasive. This book would be a good book to complement Beth Moore's study on Babylon. Too many Christians have become lukewarm in their faith and have allowed the world to transform them. It's time for Christians to rise up and be the church that Christ called us to be.

Great book!

This book provided a great balance on being effective with grace and truth sighing this world. If I didn’t take anything else from it, we have to be apart of the world with our influence but not deeply planted here with our heart.

Practical faith focused advice

Good book, calls you to first honestly examine your faith before you can effectively live a godly life. It also gives practical advice on how best to reach and relate to people who may not share the same beliefs

Not only was this work well performed, it hit the nail on the head concerning a Christian's attitude and behavior in a fallen world. i highly recommend the book.

Tools to live by in today's world!
Truth without grace is mean, and grace without truth is meaningless! Thank you Pastor Chris for this wisdom!

For such a time as this!

Even though the biblical account is from several thousand years ago--it's eerie how America is quickly becoming Babylon. Because of this, Christians need to be ever ready to give an account for what they believe and how they are living. Even more so as the Lord's return draws closer. This book will get you prepared!
