Great book, first I read it, now I’ve listened to it.
This is a great book for anyone interested in self improvement who wants to bypass the hype associated with so many books in the genre. Great read (and listen!), jam packed with actionable advice, and a few inspiring stories thrown in for good measure. Highly recommended.

Not Only A Game Changer But A Life Changer
This book is not only a game changer but a life changer. It is full of practical and helpful information that can be implemented immediately, all at once or incrementally.
But even more helpful is the way the material is presented, using the author's trans-Atlantic sailboat trips as the background for each of the chapters. It really rivets your attention to the point of the chapter.
While many other personal development books include stories and personal anecdotes, they are generally unrelated to each other. By using the journeys as the common thread, it's easier to remember the points in this book.
There are many other methodologies out there that work well for lots of people; the one presented here is well worth trying.
The reader has a rich resonant voice that is pleasant to the ear.

The title is apt-it’s a Game Changer!
Loved it. Seriously, loved it. I was looking for a book (or audiobook in my case) to jumpstart my work productivity. Now working from home, I definitely need more structure and focus in my workday which is some days so elusive. I get bits and pieces right here or there but when is was explained how all these bits and pieces work together and ALL help focus and productivity, the lightbulb went off. While my primary intent in reading this book was for work focus and productivity, I love that it addresses all area’s of my life and not just work-life.
I found myself nodding and talking to the narrator. I love his no-nonsense approach and his no-fluff style of writing. I felt like I was sitting across the table having a conversation and thinking-Holy cow! That is so right! So much more than the usual “think happy thoughts, do yoga and everything will work out” mantra I am tired of reading about. It does take effort and some discipline but having the structure laid out is a huge help.
I appreciate the extra resources I could download to help jumpstart this process. They really help especially when you are listening and not seeing it on the page. That being said, the narrator, Adam El Hagar, was easy to listen to and I really liked his presentation. All in all, very insightful, very practical and very motivating.

Read em all - this is different, highly recommend
I've been an entrepreneur for a long time. I'm also very focused on self and business improvement and a voracious reader. Every time I try to find something new and inspiring, even with 1000 five star reviews, it leaves me flat. I feel I have read it before. Or it was a blog/articles turned into an overly long book.
Not so with Game Changer Formula. Rory's story resonates with me in so many ways. And that connection, and his context, allowed me to find new wisdom. Even where a concept is similar, our shared context helped me think about it in a new way.
I highly recommend this book. Especially if you are skeptical of ever being impressed with a book again.

A guidebook for a successful life.
I read the book earlier this year, it was a Game Changer for me. I have been following Rory's 10 step daily formula for the past six months and thanks to the book I have a vision and plan on where I want to go and a clear action plan on how to execute and deliver each day and each week. I love the way the author mixes in stories from a sailing journey he and his wife took while explaining the basics of his formula. For each of his 10 steps he goes into just enough detail to explain why they are important and give you the information you need to be successful with each step.
I have to say I think I enjoyed the audio version even better than the book,. Some books just don't convert well to audio, this one does. Perhaps because its not filled with fluff, just great advice and stories to backup that advice. The audio was a great refresher for me and reinforced the value of the 10 steps.
