I might be a grandmother. But I’m not some sweet, harmless old lady who people can push around.

Two little girls stand with their heads bowed in my living room. I’m told they’re my granddaughters. Daisy is nine, and Alice seven. Daisy is the spitting image of her mother. This is the first time I’ve met them since my daughter and I fell out after she married that waste of space, Vince.

They’ve come to live with me because their mother — my daughter — was murdered. In her own home while they slept close by.

I think Vince killed her. But the police can’t prove it. I’ve always known he was no good. He treated my daughter like dirt. I said he’d cheat on her — but she wouldn’t listen.

Now he wants his daughters back.

Over my dead body.

I finally have a family of my own. And nobody is going to take it away from me.

In the very best way, this was not at all what I expected. Fun and interesting - I never knew what was coming next!! I think we need a sequel!

Very well written book with several plot twist. I enjoyed listening to it. The characters were well thought out and the ending was unexpected.

Oh the twists!!!

Great narration, fun and well written thriller. The ending, I would have liked to have been different. Although, the groundhogs day-like-ending made sense-it’s difficult to change unhealthy patterns of behavior- the story could have done with more of a resolution. Did enjoy the story all the way through though.

Fun listen

Twist on twist!!! if this were not an audible book, it would be one you can’t put down… I kept listening until the end.

Good storyline

This story has so many twists and turns you don’t know it keeps you guessing. The ending also leaves you wondering.

The twists and turns, wow!

Yes there were twists, and the end was especially a twist, but that didn’t make it good. I feel cheated, having stayed with the story, expecting an ending that at least lived up to what came before. Now that I’ve finished, I feel like I just drove by a terrible wreck.

Disappointing ending

The overall story was decent. The plot twists was great. Kept you on your toes. The ending wasn't really a necessary part to add about the father. otherwise all in all. 3.5 stars.

Last twist to story was not to my liking. Maybe others will appreciate the surprise.

This was a great story. I hope someone finds it and makes a TV show or miniseries. A 2 hour movie wouldn’t do it justice. Listen and enjoy the twisty ride!

Make a Miniseries!
