Story
Here are the thrills, grandeur, and unabashed fun of the Greek myths, stylishly retold by Stephen Fry. The legendary writer, actor, and comedian breathes life into ancient tales, from Pandora's box to Prometheus's fire, and transforms the adventures of Zeus and the Olympians into emotionally resonant and deeply funny stories, without losing any of their original wonder. Learned notes from the author offer rich cultural context. This volume is a doorway into a captivating world.

Not too bad
I wouldn’t call it a murder mystery, since the whole murder was kind of pinned there as if something reminded the writer of it last minute.
Performances are good, though, mostly the female ones. And I liked the characters, too

Very good!
I really liked this story. It reminded me of “Murder on the Orient Express” where there is a murder that everyone on the island had a motive to commit. The truth of each character unravels as the story evolves revealing who the victim is, the ties of the victim to each of the party guests, and ultimately the final showdown. It was interesting and entertaining listening to the different perspectives of the characters with the different narrators. Overall, a very good listen.

It came good
in order to build the characters and detail their history, the 1st part is incredibly slow and boring. To be fair, there is no easy way around this. As we near the end, the switching between character narratives is more frequent which adds to the sense of increased pace and I was more engaged. I feared that the ending would be over the top but it was neatly handled.

Great story, narrators leave much to be desired
Loved this story, but couldn’t help being jarred throughout by the shoddy narration. I found some of the voices very false and ‘try hard’, sort of reminiscent of a high school dramatic reading. I don’t want to detract from the book too much though - the plot and story were fantastic.
