Double twist at the end!
I’m a huge fan of Shalina Boland and have read all of her books other than the vampire series. What I love about her books is that I still get surprised no matter how hard I try to figure it out and this book was no exception. I’ll keep reading as long as she keeps surprising me.! I think the book could have moved along faster but actually the buildup is part of the surprise so I don’t mind if there are some slow parts! I think this book was Shalina at her best!

Wrapped up nicely
This was a fun listen! Enjoyed getting to know Stella and her plight through the “then” and “now” chapters. The epilogue was priceless.

Wow So Good!
I’m not sure why it never occurred to me but wow! When I can’t figure things out prior to the ending - then it’s a great story. I was so caught up in the plot and the characters, I really was blown away by the ending. And then there is the epic final twist! So good I listened straight thru!
Narration was also great. Various character accents and emotions were seamlessly conveyed!!

Shalini Boland's best yet! Get it!
Started slightly slow. Wondered when the exciting, suspenseful part was coming. The plot gets fully engrossing about 1 third into the story. 2 or 3 times I thought I had figured it out only to be thrown for a loop. Nothing seems as it looks. As the resolution to the mystery unfolds, I was left dumbfounded by the twist I never saw coming; and then came the epilog...completely stunning! Highly recommend!

Unexpected twist!
I almost never write reviews but this was her best book by far. I love this author and this book stood out for its constant detours and unexpected conclusion. Absolutely loved it!
