Review of The House on Beale Street
I really enjoyed this “cozy mystery.” Loraine Hudson has the gift of writing in a way that creates movies I picture in my head, making the story flow like I was watching a film. The narrator captured the characters very well, which really added to my enjoyment of the story. The book runs just under 4 hours, and yet it created an entire little world for me while I was listening. By the end, the characters felt like friends. (I particularly like Rowdy the dog!)
I see that there’s a second book in this series available in print on Amazon. I hope it will also become available on Audible, because I would like to hear more form this author and narrator.
