Loved the characters

I love this story and it's not because I am Greek. The story in Narrated in English but the way each character is described is extremely vivid. We get to know them by their behaviors and dialogue and the story invites us into their psychic in a very unsuspected way. It's very funny but through the humor the writer addresses some very serious issues like, prejudice, rape, class status, adolescence and many others. I was a resident of that village and I saw the whole story as a film unfold in my imagination.
Totally recommend it for all ages.

I very much liked it!

Kiki Denis writes with humor, sometimes poignant, probing deeply social serious issues of the past and present that existed and exist in Greece but also everywhere. I really liked it and I thought it was very genuine.

The Last Day of Paradise

I really enjoyed reading this book which is about a teenage girl growing up in rural Greece. It is sweet and funny and sad at the same time as it perfectly showcases the coming of age in a dysfunctional family in a small town in a most humorous way. I am certain that many can identify with the family dynamics portrayed in this book . A very entertaining read!

One of my best reads

I recommended this book to all of my friends! It is a fun, zesty, secretive and mysterious adventure full of life. It is an insight into Mediterranean life and relationships; a true page turner.

THE LAST DAY OF PARADISE by Kiki

Denis is a family story told in a humorous, way entertaining and fresh way. I couldn’t stop listening to it! From ancient to modern era, this is a hilarious, honest, unpretentious tale of youth, adolescence and parental mistakes.

The narration is also very good! Zoe Mylonas (the narrator) knows how and when to use an accent (and a real one), understands and feels the complexity of each character and her clever/clear voice and acting skills add a special spice and zest to the story! I highly recommend listening to this book. Such a great treat!
