Prohibition is a dangerous time to be a working-class woman in New York City, but Vivian Kelly has finally found some measure of stability and freedom. Good story, great performance.
The story brought to life the imagery of the imagery of the prohibition era against a backdrop of murder and suspense. The narrator expertly captured the characters through her talents in voice acting and the use of numerous different voices in a way that transported the listener back in time. We'll done!

Interesting Characters and Settings
Prohibition New York, class struggles and a few nights of dancing and a mystery to solve. This does not even sum up the book. Vivian is a bright young woman in danger of being charged with a crime and a political/law enforcement system that does not care if the suspect is the right person. The performance of this book is great and the story very engaging.
