Favorite of the series!
I loved Broken Kingdoms and the Ever Seas series, but this story is my favorite out of all of them! Great banter, more spice than all the rest, and the addition of elven with different magics was refreshing and so good. I also really loved having all of the original Beoken Kimgdoms characters mentioned and some integrated in the story. 11/10 would recommend!
That cliffhanger at the end though! I hope this means we're not done with this world just yet. ❤️

Dream husband, protective, loyal, caring and thoughtful! The man builds a freaking Library for Skadi, before they come to care for each other!! The Feral Kingdom is my favorite, filled with all the mischievous characters. 😍 King and Queen Erickson hold a special place in my heart and I love to see them interact with Xavier and Jonas. Probably my favorite book of the Ever Seas series. Can’t wait for the next book, Meira and Tate deserve a deeper dive!

Brava to the author! Bravissimo to the cast!
Loved it from start to finish and can't wait for the next installment. I love how the author is willing to go there and let her main characters enact revenge. I also enjoy the author's proclivity to make her female main characters strong, and not shrinking violets. No slow burned in this one either! Love that too! I'm hooked! Looking for more of this author's work. Love the world building. Keep it coming!

phenomenal story and phenomenal narrators
When I saw that there would be a Jonas and Scardi story I really wondered how LJ would make it as good as the never king series but oh my goodness! It was so good I don't even have words. Super romantic but not TOO insane and unrealistic (as far as fantasy stories go lol) just read it. Also, I can't wait to read Mari and the heart walkers story! fingers crossed it comes out sooner rather than later.

Chefs Kiss!
This series is now one of my top 5!!! The 3rd book is the best. I caught myself so emotional. I laughed, I was proud, I was mad, I felt hurt. This was so good.

Amazing everything!!!
I haven’t read any of the books in the author’s original Broken Kingdoms series, but being introduced to that generation as parents of the main characters in the Ever Seas series, makes me immediately want to dive into their stories. This new journey that we experience over the course of The Mist Thief introduces us to many lands, kingdoms and characters that continue to set the foundation of this amazing interconnected storyline for readers. Jonas and Skadi’s transformations from side characters in the Ever King and The Ever Queen are phenomenal. As their characters develop throughout this story, our Mist Thief and Nightmare Prince’s relationship blossoms, turning them into one my favorite Romantasy couples EVER! This book was a beautiful and intoxicating adventure that I never wanted to end.
