Publisher's summary

When your best friend is also your boss, "great ideas" aren't always optional. After all, when you run the largest fashion, gossip, and trend blog in the country, you've got to take risks to keep it edgy.

Believe me. This is edgy.

The idea? For one week, date every male fantasy.

The list?

The Jock

The Rock Star

The Billionaire

The Stepbrother

See how they are all crossed off except one? That's because he's Satan.

And Scottish.

And my best friend's stepbrother.

And there may or may not have been an incident in junior high that he hasn't forgiven me for...but that's history. Or so I hope, because I'm at his mercy for the next week....

Review of The One

This was awesome! It was my first contemporary romance by Kristin Vayden and while I’m sure I would have enjoyed it had it read it the traditional way because of the humor especially but also the heart, the experience of the book was made all the more pleasurable by the excellent work of both narrators. I’ve had it happen before that I’ve liked a book I’ve traditionally read but that I liked so much more if I also heard an audio book of the same story. I had not previously read The One, however, I have no doubt that Ms. Ongel and Mr. Thom immeasurably enhanced my listening pleasure. I know because I was laughing within the first few minutes, a definite sign I’m in for a good time. I would absolutely try out other works by this author and these narrators any time.

Finding the One is not easy. For Meredith she takes on a dating research project for her friend. Along the way she finds her one in the one place she never thought to look.

Wow!

I was blown away by the performance of the narrators. I loved Tor Thom's Scottish Brogue. That accent melts me. The storyline for this book was fun having a blogger date various types of men and write her opinion on them. I loved Kirby in this story and thought his insight was perfect. His step-sister was both manipulative and smart. Roxy does have a heart of gold where those she loves are concerned. Meredith is full of so much fun and life. I loved the imagery in this book and was happy to discover a new to me author. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. There is a fine line between love and hate. Meredith and Kirby met when they were in 7th grade and at an awkward age.

Fun, easy listen!

Kristin Vayden has taken the art of speed dating into the 21st century and given it a whole new spin. We meet Meredith, who is on a research mission for the blog that she works for. Her best friend Roxi has come up with a plan that has Meredith dating every stereotype of man out there. When it takes her to Scotland, and she meets up with her best friend's brother, Kirby, life is about to change. Unsuspecting Meredith has always been drawn to Kirby since 7th grade, but their love-hate relationship has always kept them apart. Their banter will have you laughing out loud as you listen and their chemistry is off the charts. These two are so much fun to listen to, and the way Vayden has their rapport evolve over time makes the story flow very easy and naturally. It is such a light and fun story, a very refreshing listen.

Tor Thom has brought his Scottish brogue to the forefront for this one. Not an easy accent, he has mastered the warmth of Kirby in a way that is easy to understand, yet you know exactly where he is from. Charley Ongel is wonderful from the character of Meredith to Kirby's Scottish mother-in-law bringing all the characters to life. These two brought their A-game and come up with a winning narration.

First Time with this office and this is "The One"

I received this audiobook free for an honest review. This is the first time I have read/listened to a book by Kristin Vayden. I was pretty sure I would like it because I love the narrators and I knew they wouldn't narrate a book that was excellent. This story had the perfect ingredients of exciting, romance and suspense. It was interesting to hear Charley Ongel with a Scottish accent as well as other accents in this one book. He did a great job, as well as Tor's different accents. Enjoyed this book.

One Week guy to the One?

I love this book. Charley Ongel and Tor Thom helped make this book even greater than it already is. Clever story with the answer right under Meredith nose. Trying to find mister right in a world full of wrongs. That dang Kirby who always seems to help make things so clear until there crystal clear and there he is. Couldn't wait to listen to this book everytime I had to pause for life. plan to listen again.

I was given this audiobook free in a giveaway from Tor Thom. It was my first book with him as a narrator, and wow! I loved the duel narration with Tor and Charley! Excellent performance, and I loved the story by Kristin Vayden. The characters were likeable, cute, and fun. I enjoyed how the storyline developed and found their story believable and endearing. 5 stars!

Great read to lighten your mood

Charley Ongel and Tor Thom with Scottish accents what fun in this Rom-com. Loved the banter, snark, fun, with some history added to this storyline. Great listen, look forward to more from Kristen Vayden.

Fantastic!

This one is a wonderful story and Tor Thom rocked the Scottish Brogue! Charley Ongel has a perfect female voice and I enjoyed how she can change her voice for each character. I know exactly which one is speaking. So sexy!
