Publisher's summary

Lucinda and Andrew Douglass are settling into life with their newborn baby, Delilah. Only four weeks in, much to Andrew’s dismay, Lucinda is planning her return to a high-powered job at the New York Stock Exchange, causing a major rift in their already volatile marriage.

On the bright side, Lucinda has found the perfect nanny to care for their precious baby.

Okay, so Bree Miller shows up for work two weeks early and is a little too friendly with Andrew. But on her very first day on the job, she literally saves Delilah from an attempted abduction at Central Park.

She's almost too good to be true.

Maybe it’s just a coincidence that threatening pictures are showing up anonymously at Lucinda’s apartment, and a friend is poisoned at her intimate dinner party…

Or maybe not.

Is Bree really the perfect nanny? Or is she Lucinda’s worst nightmare?

virtual voice

the virtual voice was better in this book than previous audible books. It is a very good story, though.

AI ruined it.

First Audible I listened to with AI, probably the reason it took over a month to get there! The Story was good but, the AI voice covered it up.

No more Siri-read books for me.

Great storyline! Plot twists galore with an ending you never see coming. However, the computer-generated voice was awful, and took a lot from our listening experience on our long trip. I will stick to human narrators who can differentiate between a work “resume” and resume, or to continue!

Engaging story, awful narrator!

I thought the story was good, it kept me engaged. But AI generated narration is awful, and it simply should not be used until they can improve upon not only the voice, but the quality of the reading they don’t know where to pause they don’t know where to emphasize, They pronunciation words incorrectly it’s really really awful.

I hate virtual voice!

I hate virtual narration! The inflections and emphasis are screwy, the tone remains light even during tense moments. The story didn’t build naturally but was forced
