Publisher's summary

Jesse Donovan spent the last four years chasing gold, hoping to convince his New York fiancée to join him. He's now rich, successful, and eager for his wife-to-be to make the trip out west. But now that it's time to travel to Hope's Crossing and marry Jesse, the New York socialite sends him a letter informing him of her intention to marry another. Heartbroken and lonely, Jesse contacts Matchmaker & Co. for a mail order bride.

Clarissa "Clare" Griggs is the eldest daughter of a poor farmer who is barely surviving off the land. At 23, she is an old maid and a burden on her family. Clare knows what love looks like, and she wants a family of her own. Volunteering as a mail order bride seems to be the perfect answer to her dilemma. Her family will be better off, and she can find her own love story, happiness, and finally become a mother.

But Hope's Crossing isn't the ideal location that Jesse or Clare dreamed. A bitter rival is trying to kill Jesse and take his mine. Jesse's broken heart won't allow him to love Clare the way she needs, and Clare refuses to live with a man who doesn't love her. When the enemy threatens Clare's life, Jesse realizes Clare has become a part of him, a vital piece of his heart and soul - but is he too late?

The plight of a Western Mail Order Bride

Hi has no prospects for marriage and her father has not been kind. She answers Jesse’s ad, agreeing to marry him. What she finds is a wealthy gold mine owner. And, he’s been hurt by love. While these two figure out their union, a fired employee is terrorizing their mine with a multitude of attacks. And, this man will stop for nothing. Cynthia Woolf is an excellent author and this book proves it. The narration is very good. They combine to make this book one to remember!

Jessie sends for a Bride?

Jessie Donovan sends for a Mail Order Bride to replace the woman who broke their engagement.

Claire marries Jessie knowing she is a replacement Bride but Hope's that he will love her anyway.

Jessie keeps denying that he loves Claire. Trouble follows Claire, what happens to her? Not one problem but several.

Once again I listened to a remarkable Audiobook narrated by Lia and she did a wonderful job reading this story. I highly recommend that you get this excellent Audiobook too!

Love. Action, Struggles, Humor

I dearly loved this story. This community of Hope's Crossing has become my favorite town and quickly becoming my second home. The characters are wonderful and very real and lovable. This story had many ups and downs and life struggles and a bit of action and humor. The narrator once again was amazing and told the story so well. She gave each character a unique voice and did really well with the men's voices too! Thank you Cynthia Woolf for another wonderful and enjoyable story.

The Irreplaceable Bride

After being jilted by his fiancee, mine owner Jesse Donavan decided to send for a Mail-Order Bride, using the same agency his friend Sheriff Sam Longworth, had used, Matchmaker & Co. Clare Griggs decided that at twenty-three it was time to leave home. This is a very sweet romance, clean and interesting. I think you will enjoy it as much as I did.
