Publisher's summary

The Reverend Curtis Black faces shocking new revelations about his wife in the ninth installment of the award-winning series from New York Times bestselling author Kimberla Lawson Roby.

It's been months since Reverend Curtis learned that his wife Charlotte had affairs with two different men, and for now, he continues to be cordial and respectful to her. But he's also made it clear that once their son Matthew graduates high school, he will be filing for divorce.

Charlotte, on the other hand, continues to do everything possible to make amends in hopes of saving their marriage. Unfortunately, Curtis is ready to move on and is being propositioned by a woman who desperately wants to become the next Mrs. Curtis Black. When the situation heads down a path that is frighteningly shocking, could it be the final blow to this once blessed union?

Lord Have Mercy!

Would you consider the audio edition of The Reverend's Wife to be better than the print version?

I didn't read the printed version so I cannot compare...however this was exemplary...the narrator kept my interest and was very engaging...made me laugh, cry, get angry...all the emotions were flowing...

What other book might you compare The Reverend's Wife to and why?

All of Kimberla's works are exemplary!

Have you listened to any of Maria Howell’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Probably have since I am an avid audio listener...again she was great!

If you could rename The Reverend's Wife, what would you call it?

I would not rename it...loved the title ...

Any additional comments?

Kimberla Lawson Roby is such a classy, clean writer...her stories are very real and as audio books they come to life. I have listened to several of them...excellent choice in narrators...good work!

Not her best

This book picks up from the previous book. It lacks umph, and WOW factor.

I guess the church members are not intuitive in this book. When did Charlotte become an alcoholic?

Maybe it was the narrator and not me, I don't know. This one gets 5 stars for snoozer!!!
