A must have

Even though 48 hours holds a special place for me, this 2nd book 📖 I’ve listened from Donna Jay is great one! I loved how the MC made mistakes, yet they stood up and faced the music as the saying goes and made things right! Just loved the flow of the book and really didn’t want it to end. Cat Gould did an amazing job. For everyone who is doubting, This is a definite listen and a must have!

Donna Jay delivers a well written story that kept my attention throughout the entire book. Witty, thoughtful, and engaging, the entire story is filled with interesting and likeable characters that make you root for them until the very end. Cat Gould performs brilliantly as always, and brings each character and scene into vivid detail. This book is well worth the read!

Slow Burn Romance With Bigger Themes

A great slow burn romance with an underlying theme of to err is human. In several instances in the story characters make mistakes and have to pick themselves up, dust themselves off and get on with life. You also see them taking the fallout from their actions with grace, making amends and putting in the work to earn back trust and forgiveness.
I loved Cat Gould's narration, and having read the ebook before listening, was pleasantly surprised by how closely she portrayed the characters to what I had imagined while reading. This is definitely an audiobook I could see myself listening to again.

First time author for me and I have to say - Wow! This was really good!

I really felt for Sadie when she was going through her rough patch in the beginning. Thank goodness she met Victoria in time and offered her a muck needed job. Without giving away too much, I think the way things happened between them had to happen due to the complicated situationship they created.

Also, what I thought was clever was splitting the book in 2 parts with a different POV for each. I loved that. The narration was excellent as well 👏👏👏

If you enjoy rags to riches, slight age gap, happily ever after love stories, with just enough heat and kink, then don’t keep this delightful novel “a secret” from your library.
The characters have depth and soul as our author allows you into the life of a special young woman who possesses a huge heart and tons of self respect. You will fall in love with “ Sadie”, and cheer her on as she pursues love without abandoning her self respect.
Cat Gould does a wonderful job of narrating and her Aussie accent is to die for.

So much fun! But not just fun; there's depth too.

I listened to the audio version. Cat Gould is excellent! I love listening to the Kiwi accent. It makes the book more fun. This book has so many things I loved--age gap, dual POV, ice queen, drama, etc. The characters are both very well developed and likable. It has hot scenes but they aren't gratuitous at all, except maybe the one that takes Sadie by surprise. Yes, it's all kind of unrealistic, but still very much fun. I didn't hear any errors. This might end up being a favorite.
