This is a story about the emotional pain that develops from family estrangement.
It hurts to lose a loved one when they pass away but it hurts even more to lose a loved one when they are still alive and well.
When an abusive home life shatters the bond between three siblings, they are forced to separate from one another. As they trudge through a life infused with fear, poverty, abuse, alcoholism, and loss, they fall deeper into a destiny of disappointments. A sorrowing journey leads Violet to a place where she questions if any meaning can ever really be found in our suffering.
