Timeless

I listened when I walked every day. I started to bring tissues because I was so moved. Minka’s story, even as a fictional depiction of the atrocities of the Holocaust is a stark reminder that dehumanizing any group of people can lead to genocide. Americans have to come back together and embrace our glorious differences, not demean and each other’s beliefs. This book should not be banned.

4th Book By This Author

I love a good WWII book, and this one has unique aspects that make it more interesting than just a typical historical fiction. Narration is great, though a bit choppy at points. Though nothing too egregious.

Captivating!

I generally don’t like to read WWII stories, because growing up in Soviet Union I was over fed with them. But this book is an absolute gem. It is very well researched and gives the reader a glimpse of the horror of the holocaust without being overwhelming.

The characters are complex and relatable, and the plot is both captivating and heart-wrenching.

The Storyteller is a story about forgiveness, redemption, and the weight of guilt. The author does a fantastic job of weaving multiple storylines together, each with its own unique perspective and voice. The way she explores the themes of love and loss, and the impact of trauma on individuals and families, is truly masterful.

The writing style is engaging and the pacing is perfect, with twists and turns that keep you guessing until the very end. The book is well worth the read and will stay with you long after you’ve finished it. Overall, The Storyteller is an excellent book that I highly recommend.

Jodi P. just doesn't get old.

One of her best books yet! Beautifully narrated as well. I hadn't read/ listened to any of her books in a while, and fell in love all over again. A sad, but amazing story.

Tough topic but beautifully written

This book was hard to read at times because of the difficult content. But I loved how the author developed her characters with grace and beauty and how they all came together in the end. Long book but kept me coming back for more.

I couldn’t stop listening

This is by far one of the best books I’ve listened to this year. The story is absolutely captivating, and gut wrenching. As it describes holocaust scenes, it is not for the faint of heart. Jodi brings the reader into the horrifying reality of such a great tragedy and illuminates the strength of the human spirit.

Minks… the details and the narration of this part if the book were fantastic.

I especially enjoyed how the different parts of the story were skillfully woven together. There was never a time in this book where I was bored.

Wow, the twists and turns are amazing

I love this book and the intricacies of the characters and stories. I would have liked a little more focus on the two main characters but overall love the book. There are parts that are devastating to hear but are accurate to history. Definitely recommend.
