A rare book I couldn't finish - mild spoilers
I'm usually pretty generous in reviews. I love Rick Chesler's book "Hotel Megladon," and enjoyed "Sawfish" so much I listened a few times. But this one is awful. It's like a bad first draft with no character development whatsoever, so you don't care about the characters at all. Also, it flirts with animal abuse, which I have a hard time with. By the time they caught the panther, I wanted it to shred the idiots imprisoning it, and was rooting for it to take over.
No idea what happens at the end, I couldn't take it anymore. I am two hours from finishing, but I disliked the characters so much that the book was just starting to make me angry the last two times I tried to listen. I'd return it but I can't find the option.
Narration is meh. It's passable, but not inspired, just like a guy reading you a book. I can live with it though, and it was better than the content of the story.
