Amazing conclusion

Came to this series as a fan of the show, and was not disappointed, this was a unique and wonderful experience, I found myself getting frustrated with characters at points, then immediately getting sucked back in, I rarely get engaged with a story the way I did while listening to this series, I’d absolutely recommend to anyone,

Offers What You Expect

If you have reached Book 6 in the Secret Circles Book then you clearly like what has been offered up in the series already, that or you simply refuse to give up on the series. The book offers up exactly what you have come to expect with some slight improvements.

In previous reviews of this book I have been a bit critical of the whole 'fated lovers' angle that the author seems to exploit in a sense. In this novel though they have dialed down that aspect of the storyline (although not removed all together) and instead has replaced it with more depth in the story itself. The book brings an end to another interesting saga that the circle has gone through and, if the author so wishes, have left enough unsaid and enough characters essentially under developed to add on a bit more to this story.

I stand by the thought that this story has a whole lot of better if the author ever desires to move away from more of the cliche themes it has explored over the past few books. Yes, I agree it is a winning formula for L.J. Smith and thus far it is good but it could be great.

The narration I have gotten used to and there isn't any more I can say now that I haven't said in my previous reviews. Devon does a good job, and as a good narrator should do seems to improve the overall quality of the book.

I'm a fan of this series and will continue to be a fan based on the series thus far, this included.

I sense a finale...

Where does The Temptation rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Book 6 seems to have brought the Secret Circle series to an end. I enjoyed the first 5 books, far better than the TV series which left out a number of characters and skewed several of the relationships between those characters. I was glad to see Cassie grow into a powerful and confident witch. I enjoy reading L.J. Smith books. I am looking forward to reading the Vampire Diaries series next.

This was terrible story telling.

This book finishes a terrible Trilogy. Having loved the original for years I was excited to listen to these. But they were so terrible. No character growth whatsoever. A Trilogy that makes you hate the main characters because of their constant stupid decisions and bland personalities should have never been written in the first place. The TV show was so bad and I couldn't figure out where the badness came from after the first Trilogy. But after listening to this one I now see where that awfulness came from.
