Great! A suggestion for pacing

For those who are struggling with the inflection change between the readers, try slowing the speed a little when they change and then speeding it back up when they change back. It seems the editors made it a point to clip Ms. Reading's voice and then quickly attach each clipping together making an odd upturn of voice for each word which is kind of hard to get through at first. I found that slowing the pace to .95-.98x speed helped with this a lot. Then returning to a quicker speed for Mr. Kramer like I was used to.

I wasn't sure at first.

I read this book after a friend recommended it. I read through the Mistborn trilogy and loved it, so I wanted to read more of Sanderson's work. I wasn't hooked right away. There were so many races and different objects and magic coming at me all at once as I'm hearing about them for the first time that it was a bit overwhelming. Despite this, I stuck with it and it wasn't long before everything made sense and I found myself completely attached this story and it's characters. The ending was a cliffhanger, but a very powerful one and I can't wait to read more.

3rd time through this book. Love it every time.

Read it twice and listened to it once. Always catch something new. Much love for the cosmere. Life before death!

My first Brandon Sanderson book

I picked this up based on a review on Audible and because of the size of the book. I wanted something to end the year with. It is an amazing fantasy. I am now hooked. I am surprised that no one has picked this up for a serial or movie yet!! Loved it!!

The best fantasy I’ve ever read

I cannot stop singing this book’s praises it’s so good I’ve bought it in three different formats and the narrators are so good 10/10 would recommend

Big beefy book!

Hoo-ee! This is a hefty book and Sanderson is in absolutely no rush to get through it -- but that's a good thing, since I enjoyed every minute of this imaginative story. No doubt about it, there is a lot of down time in that 45 hours, but honestly, with so much ground to cover in this sprawling story, I found "fluff" perfectly welcome respites from the genuinely gripping, surprising, and satisfying moments the novel's centerpieces had to offer. Would absolutely recommend to anyone who mows through novels quickly and wants something that will last them hours and hours of enjoyment. However, definitely not for those who want a snappy page turner.

Totally amazing read.

This is one of the best books in series I've ever read. The world-building and storytelling in this book is absolutely amazing.

I'm in awe.

I'll admit I was annoyed by a few of the characters at the beginning, but everything fell together perfectly.

for such a long book it's over before you know it. love this book! the female narrator was meh but the male was great

a pageturner! an absolutely amazing fantasy

There was a blow below a belt actually in the last chapters of the book as I had planned to switch to something else ( a short read for a change) but I simply couldn't. They reviled so many intriguing turns so I decided to proceed with the book two being a bit scaptical in a while as the first book raised my acspectations so high and lived up to every each of them.
