Publisher's summary

From USA Today Bestselling Authors K Webster and Nikki Ash comes Truths and Lies: the complete duet—a dark, arranged marriage, Greek mafia romance.

My life was easy, simple, fun.

My life was brutal, horrific, ruthless.

Light.

Dark.

Until I got wrapped up with the wrong people.

Until a beautiful bride was dragged into my life.

Nothing but a piece of property to pay for the sins of my father.

I took her as my prize and made her mine.

I’m to be married off to a handsome monster.

Vengeance never tasted so sweet.

I see his truths every day, and it’s hard not to fall for the enemy.

I see her truths every day, and it’s hard not to fall for a woman who makes me weak.

He won’t let me escape, but I’m not sure I want to.

She can try to run, but I have no intention of ever letting her go.

I wanted to marry for love, but it looks like love is a lie.

I wanted to marry for hate, but it looks like hate is a lie.

**Please note: this complete duet includes stories Hidden Truths and Stolen Lies.**

Such a Great Mafia Story covering all the bases!

OMG! I LOVE this one!! It is so suspenseful! I enjoyed the two/three main characters in all their glory! They have delightfully evil and good sides to them. It was fun trying to figure out everything before it would happen. This will be a re-listen as it has become one of my favorite mafia stories.

The narration is a true struggle. Both narrators do well as I have listened to them before. I agree with others about the struggle of Ares name. Each one called him something different which is confusing. Also Mr Holz’s voice for Talia gave a whiney appearance to here when she was being portrayed as a strong woman by the wording. Still its a good story and this won’t stop me from listening to this again.

Dark Mafia Arranged Marriage 4.5 stars

An intense story where the lives of two people are forced into a marriage for revenge. The thing with revenge is things don’t always turn out as planned.
Wow there some wild twists that occur and lessons learned that your trusted friends and family shouldn’t be trusted and those you don’t trust become your best allies.
Take a wild with two talented narrators and authors.

Loads of Action

This one is filled with twist and action around ever corner. The main couple start out rough but they find their footing in the end. There were so many turns that I usually can see them coming but with this one, they sneak up. Lots and lots of action. I will tell you there is a trigger warning (rape). The narration by Sarah and Jeffrey were spot on.

A Complete Duet

This is the Truth and Lies Duet in one book. This book includes Hidden Truths and Stolen Lies. Hidden Truths is the first book. This is one of those books that are hard to review because you feel like your going to say something and give something away that will ruin the book for someone. Kostas and Talia though have quite the amazing story to tell and it is going to leave you perched on the edge of your seat and your emotions flying all over the place. You're not going to be able to stop listening to this book. To say I loved it is an understatement.
Stolen Lies I don't really want to give anything of this story away. I didn't read the description of them before diving in and now you guys won't have to wait for the second part of the duet if you start once this book is out. I loved every single second. I was emotionally invested in these characters. I was on the edge of my seat a lot and at times was holding my breath. This is one of those books that you cannot put down at all. If you are a lover of romantic suspense then you do not want to miss these books.
I loved listening to this duet. It is one that you do not want to miss.

Exciting and Spicy

I really loved duet. The suspense and action was fantastic, the spice was great and the plot was exciting. It also provided some unexpected laughs and had me hooked from beginning to end.

The audio was really great. Sarah Puckett was fantastic as Talia and I loved Jeffrey Holz as Kostas. I didn't love Jeffrey's female voices, but they did start to grow on me more as the series went on. I'll definitely be listening to this one again.

HIDDEN TRUTHS
4.5/5 ⭐
3.0/5 🌶

I can't believe I took so long to read this, it is off to such a great start. I'm loving Kostas and Talia's relationship. The enemies to lovers, arranged marriage trope is always so good, but there's something about Kostas and Talia's push and pull. They find a groove in their spicy times, but still have a lot of enemies vibes out of bed. And yet, there's times when I can see the love Kostas will have for her and I swoooon.

I'm really interested to see how the overall plot goes, we get little glimpses here and there, but book one is a lot of just their relationship and how it started. The cliffhanger is a doozy though, I'm so ready to dive back in and see what happens.

STOLEN LIES

4/5 🎧

Such a fantastic conclusion to this duet. Kostas and Talia went through so much in this one, these two absolutely deserved to get their happily ever after. Stolen Lies had a ton of suspense and action with the perfect amount of spice and swoon worthy love, I couldn't get enough and ended up forgoing sleep til 2am to finish listening.

I really loved both of these main characters. Talia was so strong and willing to do anything to keep her and Zoe safe and Kostas would have burned the world down to get her back safely. I was really impressed with how he took the news of Zoe and what Aris did to her. I was expecting a little more hostility, but he was pretty close to perfect.

Kostas relationship with her mom and brother was really sweet, I love how close they got and their parts on the epilogue were so dang good.

A blend of suspense and deep-seated family secrets

I was completely engrossed in this duet narrated by Jeffrey Holz and Sarah Puckett. This story revolves around an unexpected union between Talia and Kostas in the context of a dark mafia romance. It was thrilling and intense, and the journey from animosity to a complex bond was beautifully portrayed. The blend of suspense, deep-seated family secrets, and undeniable chemistry kept me hooked. The plot twists were unpredictable, and the character development was remarkable. Although the themes are dark and not for everyone, this duet is a must-listen for fans of edgy, compelling romance. Furthermore, Holz and Puckett's compelling narration brought the story to life and made it even more captivating.

Dark and delicious

Hidden Truths

This started off pretty much exactly like other books in this trope, so I figured I knew what to expect … and I was right but it was still fun to experience.

I liked Talia, pretty much off the bat, so I hung in there (and I’m so glad I did!). It’s sort of slow-paced and very cliché (typical, highly used mafia plot, unoriginal) until about 2 hours from the end, action starts to go down, and things heat up quite a bit. The action occurs in short spurts, and then it’s sorta slow-paced again, but it’s done well, as more is clearly just on the horizon, keeping me engaged.

By the time I got to the end, I was hooked. And after that wicked cliffhanger, I definitely will need to listen on to book 2—very well played on the part of the authors.

Overall: 3.5 stars.

Audio:
Overall not bad at all, but could’ve been better.
-It could be confusing at times, because both narrators pronounced the main a major character’s name inconsistently, sometimes saying Aris < as it sounds in an American accent, and one saying “Edd-es”. (I get it, I can’t roll my Rs and it sounds similar if I try to say it, however, one consistent pronunciation would’ve made it a lot more seamless to listen to.)
- Both have good voices and both more perform than read like robots, which is amazing. Dual cast that sounded like a full cast thanks to accents.
-However: each narrator works well individually. It seems like they did not work together at all. Whenever the male covered female dialogue, he made her sound like a petulant, weak little girl. It was absolutely awful and a striking conflict from how Sarah portrayed her, and how the authors designed her (as she’s actually wise beyond her years, grows up quickly after being forced to, strong and brave).

Stolen Lies

After being bored for much of book 1, I ended up getting totally hooked near the end and NEEDING this one. Interesting tactic on the authors’ part—which I have to respect!

This one starts a year after that cliffie in book 1 … it’s turmoil, action, drama, and heat. Overall, a good, quick listen. Much faster paced than the first, but I now understand why the first went the way it did—the world, character and plot development were needed.

4 stars.

Audio:
Very good, especially the female. The male did a great job w/ the male parts, but his female impersonations were tough to take. Excellent sound quality overall!
