Cute read

This was a really quick read. It definitely kept me entertained with all the pranks going on and waiting to see what would happen next.

I really enjoyed the audio. Narrators did such great job bringing the characters to life.

Short and Fun

This is the first book I've read/listened to by Piper James. It was on the shorter side. I smiled and laughed throughout. Riggs and Tessa were getting a second chance at love, but Tessa wasn't going to make it easy. The pranks were great fun. I enjoyed the past and present timelines that went back and forth. Well done!

Cecily Foster and Josh Innerst are excellent narrators! They brought this audiobook to life with emotional performances that had it rolling like a movie in my head. It was perfection!

Second Chance at its finest

After a brief relationship in high school, what Tessa thought was a genuine loving relationship took a nose dive when she overheard the reason behind Riggs’ pursuit of her. But in true heartbroken teenage girl fashion, she didn’t stick around to hear him out. After years apart, she’s surviving in their hometown while he’s thriving in the NFL. She still harbors intense feelings when it comes to Riggs, and they aren’t feelings that would allow Riggs to easily break through.
When a new NFL startup opportunity arises close to his hometown, Riggs jumps at the chance. Buying a home next door to Tessa sparks an intensely hilarious prank war between the two. And as time progresses, Riggs finally gets a chance to confess his secrets to her. Once those walls had fallen, these two found that those feelings from high school were still there & just as potent. I loved watching them fall for each other again as Riggs slowly gained her trust & affection.

Audiobook Review:
Cecily Foster & Josh Innerst brought this story and these characters to life. The range of emotions throughout the book were executed wonderfully & kept me completely invested in the story.

Fun and Entertaining!

This is the first book in the Branston Bandits series, a steamy, enemies-to-lovers sports romantic comedy. Riggs and Tessa's story is fun, entertaining, and engaging. I liked the banter, the pranks, the humor, the chemistry, and the romance. This is a great second chance romance. Cecily Foster and Josh Innerst did an excellent job bringing this story to life. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to listening to Bumb and Run, the next book in the series. #PFPAudio

Loved this funny sports romance!

This was my first audiobook from this author and I am already listening to the next standalone in this sports romance series haha. I loved the pranks between the loves and they kept one upping the ante and make us readers laugh and smile, which is refreshing! I loved the dirty cookies and the goats hahah and how Tessa revealed things at the end, so funny and cute!

The steam was good in this one, I enjoyed the getting to know them scenes and seeing them from younger years to now. The bet was horrible but I thought the twist on it was tactful. I do like how Tessa wouldn’t take his crap right off the bat but listened to him when he explained and then they could really take their chemistry to the next level. I loved h I’m defending her and taking her out, his reactions to her were so swoon worthy. I do wish the pacing was a little bit different TS more a personal preference I think. I know these are supposed to be quick listens but I have a tough time giving books 5 stars when they don’t have a ton of time to develop the relationship. Oh and I loved that Tessa knows football and could keep up with Riggs with his updates and playing. The ending was so cute, love love love!

Narration was great, I love the female narrator in other books and she did a good job here too! This was my first listen of the male narrator and I think he did a good job too and I would definitely listen to him again after this series. He brought a lot of emotion in this one, his regret, excitement, sadness, frustration, etc. I could feel Riggs so hard in this story and also he did a great job with all the friends p, who we get their stories too which is so exciting. 4.5/5 stars for the narration from me 😊

Book 1 - Branston Bandits

What a delightfully sweet and steamy second chance romance read. This is book 1 in James' Branston Bandits series and a wonderful start to a new series that can easily be read / listened to as a standalone. I loved the dual narration with Foster and Innerst - I will say there were times when the vocals for our lead male character Riggs was not as smooth as I would have hoped but overall, both narrators did a great job. I loved Riggs' character a do-good guy who got burned by not being honest and up front from the start and Tessa who couldn't bear to risk her heart yet again. I loved the football analogies, I loved the dual points of view, I love the brotherhood of the football team and Riggs' friends and the sisterhood of Tessa and her friends. I loved how well James delivered the time span, thought that was so well done. Overall, a well written, second chance romance read that is sweet and steamy and delivers some giggles and a beautiful HEA!

This was my first Piper James book and I really liked it! It was ridiculous at times with the football puns and the different pranks definitely had me chuckling too 🤣

Tessa and Riggs relationship had lots of ups and downs and it all stemmed from miscommunication back in high school. I was so happy when Riggs was finally able to tell her what happened and to clear the air. I really liked their chemistry from day 1 and even more after their reunion years later.

I enjoyed the audio a lot and felt like Cecily foster did a fantastic job portraying Tessas character. Josh Innersts voice wasn’t my fav only bc certain times he was trying to be seductive he was just whisperbreathing heavily, but overall he did a good job of depicting Riggs.

A breath of fresh air that brings the steam and exposes it's heart. James turns the tables on heartache with a sense of humor and tempting romance. The Turnover pushes emotions outside of their comfort zone. From unpredictable to irresistible is a wild ride.

A cute, funny second chance story

A cute, funny second chance story that I thoroughly enjoyed. I'm new to Piper James and it won't be my last book of hers I read. Actually I've already started book two of this series and am enjoying it as well. I'm mostly a romantic suspense reader, loving the danger and suspense, but I've discovered I enjoy cleaning my pallet with good sports romances, etc and this definitely hit the spot. Tessa and Riggs' story grabbed my attention and heart strings as I waited for the truth to come out of what really happened when they were teenagers because I knew there was a ton more to it. The prank war delivered lots of laughs as they secured an HEA. Narrators brought the story to life.

The Turnover

The Turnover is the first ok in the Branston Bandits series. Tessa and Riggs had a brief relationship in high school. It may have started as a prank but shortly became real. There was a huge misunderstanding and ended abruptly. Now as adults they may have a second chance to rekindle their feelings. Their relationship is full or prank wars and steamy moments.

Cecily Foster and Josh Innerst did a great job narrating this book.
