A Must-Read for Parents with Strong Willed Kids

I loved this book with my whole heart and will be listening to it every single day over and over again! it has helped so much! it is the perfect length for a busy parent to easily digest. Her tips make sense and aren't overly verbose. Michelle is calm and generous with her honesty about her parenting struggles which made me feel so much less alone. I started implementing her tips a few weeks before a week-long solo vacation with my kiddo and had it not been for this book, our vacation would not have been the incredible experience it was. I learned quickly how to modify my behavior to help my kiddo be their best self. I encourage all parents, struggle or not, to read this beautiful and insightful book!

Honest and Enlightening

A beautiful reminder that connection makes a strong foundation and that our relationship with our children matters more than the judgment from outsiders.

Some tips but selling you also...

I was disappointed in this book. There are some excellent tips, but you must go through many of her personal stories to find something meaningful and actionable.

I can't relate to her, I had a rough upbringing, but maybe you can. Honestly, unless you can relate, it's just a story of her life and her having a rough time raising her kids until she found... and enter the sales part of it... Hand-in-hand parenting, which is only $250/year, poor folks need not apply! She references this group several times throughout the book, and it is just short of, "Unless you join, you aren't serious about parenting."

I listened from start to finish and as mentioned, there are some tips but I returned it because of the consistent reference to hand-in-hand parenting. Additionally, you can find many FREE groups like Incredible Years that are 100% free, which is what my wife and I have taken twice now at this point.
