Hilarious and Irreverent!

Did I mention hilarious? "Riding the Bull" and " Songs of the zombie choir" are some of the BEST book quotes EVER! The narrator's crisp British accent juxtaposes the ridiculous hilarity brilliantly. Seriously. If this had been narrated by an American actor, it would only have been half as funny. It might even have been awkward. The "stiff upper lip" gave it solemnity, even while it lent to its Monty Python-esque humor. Suprememly funny without being crass or tawdry. Well done!

Fun listen!

I saw another review that said this book was crass and vulgar... well, it kinda is, but that's just because it's from the point of view of a 30-ish guy! This was kind of a nice change from other Zombie fiction, in that it was more about the characters than the actual zombies. All in all it was a fun listen- and the narrator is hilarious!

Amazing!

This book was brilliant!
The voice acting was perfect.
It made be laugh, smile, chuckle.
It surprised me and made me upset.
The writing is wonderful and the story is unlike any I've read.
The main character, Tony, is relatable and his growth and change through the book should be a goal for everyone.

Excellent zombie tale!

This classic zombie tale is set apart from the rest by the humor inserted by the obviously talented author. The narrator does an awesome job as well.

Awesome Zombie Tale

A quick fast paced thrilling story set in the Zombie universe that captivates from start to finish. The world building and narration by James Meunier are on point. This is my first read from this author and I was sucked in from the start. I was provided this free audiobook code by the author/narrator and this is my voluntary unbiased review.

Drier British take on Zombie Apocalypse

Unaware gamer takes on Zombies and actually lives. Good story. Pacing a little odd at times but that could have just been the narrator.

A humorous but action packed gore fest to be enjoyed by all.

This has yhe himor of Shaun of the Dead but with more horror and death.

It was very well read, cool book that was worth tge listen.

My only complaint was that the book ended.

Zombie Fun

What Zombie Apocalypse is a fun listen that will have you laughing, cringing in pain at times but most importantly one will “see” the apocalypse from Tony’s point of view easily. The author, Nick James does a delightful job of providing vivid imagery of Tony and his growth from an over-weight gamer to a lean mean zombie killing machine!

I loved the rich dialog Tony had with himself as he struggled to survive the apocalypse and find his love. After all, he was a different man from before the apocalypse! I thought the situations Tony finds himself were distinct and reminded me of those other “tongue in cheek” fun horror books of zombies roaming freely with an unlikely hero. However, I can say without any hesitation that this was by far the best, fun zombie book I have heard.

While I thought the book was well written, the narrator, James Meunier gave an excellent performance. He not only gave voice to Tony, he became Tony – it was like he was Tony deep down. I loved the different voices he gave each character, but I have to say Tony was PERFECT! His performance was smooth and flowed naturally.

There were no issues with the production or quality of this audiobook, it was flawless.

entertaining

This was brilliant and hilarious, but the narrator took it to the next level. This is not your typical zombie apocalypse story it's much better. The main character, Tony is no hero, but he is a survivor, and he does it very entertainingly. Check it out. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job bringing it to life.

This zombie apocalypse!

As an avid lover of all things zombies, I must admit I couldn't get enough of this book. The storyline and characters are entertaining from start to finish. It is also very humorous and I literally LOL, which garnered me some looks on the train. I sincerely hope there is a sequel.
