Every JD Kirk series is thoroughly enjoyable. Logan. Hoon. Filson. I'll never be able to pick a favorite book in any of the series. I just know I have great expectations each time a book comes up for pre-sale. I'm anxious to start it in Audible with Angus King. After hours and hours of crime fiction and laughter, I'm always sad to hear Audible says thank you for listening. This has been written by JD Kirk read by Angus King. Then it starts all over anxious for the next to come out. These characters, to me, make the entire series. You cheer for them, you laugh with them and you feel bad for them. I really hope that the books find their way program format/platform with amazing actors. Everyone needs to meet these folks. No one else that I have read does it as well as JD Kirk.

Tip notch , once again

One thing you are guaranteed with a JD Kirk book are the WTF moments that you can't help but laugh at all while cringing in gross , horrorific fascination at the mental image. JD doesn't disappoint in this book either. On top of all that there is a slight cliff hanger....as if waiting for the NEXT BOOK wasn't hard enough to begin with. Write on JD, write on! ( Please!!!)

I feel i know these characters personally!

The whole crew is back and for several of them there are difficult life challenges that get worked through but not totally resolved. All the better for a future chapter in the tale of DCI Logan and company! Thank heavens there are more threads to tie up and more personality traits to be revealed and more occurrences snd actions explained. I will be anxiously awaiting the next installment of this tale of policing in the Highlands.

Love this series!!!!!

This one doesn’t disappoint. Other than leaving us with a cliffhanger and no next book in sight! Eek! Seriously though, JD Kirk’s writing is so witty and Angus King brings all the characters to life perfectly. I enjoy walking down the street and gasping aloud in shock as something happens and minutes later laughing equally as loud at some random remark made by Bob Huhn or Jack Logan. Love it. Totally worth the credit.

What is not to love about her new JD Kirk novel with Angus King reading. I continue to love this series. And all of the characters. The way Olivia was able to start to come out of her shell was fantastic. Shawnna as always, is just a blessing and all the rest of the crew I just love them and Sinead and the way she brings everything together. Thank you once again for a fantastic book can’t wait for the next one.

“This isn’t what it looks like”

Another great read by JD Kirk and another stellar performance by Angus King. This book leaves you wanting more. There were multiple storylines—the main who done it, plus the lives of the characters. I don’t know if I can wait until the next book release to find out what happens next. The title of my review is a line used more than once in this book…and it can only be what it looks like. If you haven’t discovered this series, I highly recommend it. Start at the beginning. I guarantee you will love the mystery, but more importantly the humor and the characters.

I have missed DCI Logan and others so much! I’m so glad they came back for another adventure! Please don’t make me wait so long for the next one!!
