Disaster
The story continues under even stranger conditions which will evolve it as you read or listen.
I can honestly say that I didn't enjoy this book as much as the first, but I'm hoping that with time in the next book that it explodes into something even bigger & better. Time will tell.

Captivating
Whispers of Darkness by Toni Goode is a dark and captivating journey into a supernatural world filled with immortals, witches, and impossible choices. As the second book in the Whispers Series, this audiobook pulls you into the intense emotional struggles of Finn, a man grappling with a tragic loss and seeking redemption—or perhaps revenge.
The story centers on Finn, who is tasked with hunting down Bree, a powerful witch tied to the very bloodline he once destroyed. The emotional tension is palpable as Finn faces a tough decision: will he exact vengeance, or can he use Bree’s magic to bring back the love he thought was lost forever? The narrator does an excellent job of portraying Finn’s internal conflict, making his pain and determination feel raw and real.
Bree, as a character, brings intrigue and complexity to the story, and the narrator’s voice work effectively conveys her strength, vulnerability, and mystery. The audiobook’s pacing is gripping, seamlessly blending moments of action with deeper emotional revelations. The story's tone will appeal to fans of True Blood, The Vampire Diaries, and The Originals, with its blend of supernatural thrills, complex relationships, and moral dilemmas.
