Publisher's summary

Eight months. That's how long it's been since Eliza last saw Gage, and they both feel as if they don't deserve one another's forgiveness. He screwed up. She walked away without looking back. They'll try and make up all the time they've lost with one another, that is, until they're facing the choices of either going their separate ways, or hanging on and fighting for dear life.

The fights will be endless. The heartache will be real. The demons will return, and they won't back down without a fight. There are some who will do anything to keep true love apart, and those same people will dig deep into their demonic ways until Eliza and Gage are literally no more. Can Eliza and Gage overcome it all? Will they be able to face the true demons that are seeking to destroy them? Or will they just forget about everything they've worked so hard for and go their separate ways? Sometimes you have to go through struggles in order to reach an ultimate point of peace...but will their struggle be worth it?

EVERYTHING I WAS HOPING FOR.... & MUCH MUCH MORE

Pheweee.... well, as S.Q. Williams wrote a powerful, heartbreaking and emotional storyline for Eliza, Gage and all the secondary characters involved, she certainly gave me a few tense hours as I listened, on the edge of my seat, to their devastating and powerful love story.

In this tale of self-sacrifice there's wasted years, blackmail, an untimely death, romantic scenes, sex, shocks, twists and surprises as Eliza and Gage battle all that fate tries to throw at them for their chance of a HEA ending.

Worth a credit? A roller-coaster ride for your emotions that'll have you jumping for joy one minute then reaching for the tissues the next. I couldn't stop listening to this very enjoyable, tender, sweet and touching listen and I metered out the hours to savour and devour every drop so YES very creditworthy and let's hope we're going to hear plenty more about the other members of the FireNine family.

Wow.... just wow!

Excuse my while I sit here and recover for the brutal beating on my heart that was soon followed by the most magical healing possible.

Upon finishing book 1, I thought my heart had never been so broken before but that theory quickly changed when I started book 2. I went in hoping there was going to be this fairy tale love story where the couple reunites and their relationship blossoms into something fierce. But did that happen? Nope! No! Not at all! What I got was so far from those hopes that I sat at my table and wanted to cry for so long. While sitting there contemplating if I could finish the story, I realized that the author must be a true genius. And that she was! After so much heartache and frustration, S.Q. Williams took me by the hand and piece by piece, repaired by broken heart in the most glorious way possible. Everyone needs to go and read this series as soon as possible so I can sit there with you and go through all the feels over and over again!

The narration was yet again fantastic. Christian and Veronica are amazing in this story. Veronica took the emotions to the next level and made you feel so much more.

Great finish to the series

This was a great series. I agree with some of the other comments, the narrators voice at times was "stuffy", but not enough to take away from the story. I would recommend this series.

WOW - My Heart was Ripped out & Put back Together

Any additional comments?

Who We Are picks up eight months after Eliza left Gage to return to school. She hasn't seen him or talked to him and has avoided anything that might remind her of the man she left behind. The night she finally sees him after all of those months is worse than she could have imagined it would be. It’s then that Eliza truly realizes that it is truly over and returns to her awaiting internship with a prominent New York art agency...

The very first chapter crushed me. I knew I was in trouble. The emotions this story dragged out of me... I cried throughout but I also laughed, sighed, and stopped to catch my breath a couple of times...

That’s what Gage and Ellie’s story will do to you. It breaks you then puts you back together. The boys from Fire9Nine are back, too. Montana, Deed P., and Roy made me laugh and swoon just like the first time. All of you Roy lovers, just wait until you read this book. He has a pretty big part, and it is going to make you love him even more...

I loved this book for many reasons. The first is that Ellie shines in it. She goes for what she wants in both her career and personal life. She proves her strength, but she also realizes it’s okay to need people. She stands up for herself, and she fights for her future. Ellie is also a lot more mature this time around. Shanora, in my opinion, wrote her character exactly as we all hoped she would…strong, fierce at times and vulnerable at others. (Wait until you meet her new girl friends..you will love them!)

The second reason is Gage Grendel. I can’t say enough about my feelings for this character. He is everything I would want in a rock star book boyfriend. Cocky, beautiful, charismatic, and willing to do whatever it takes to get the love of his life back. Now Gage’s sister and their story-line will bring you to your knees... it ripped my heart out !!

This second book did so much more than wrapped up Gage and Ellie’s story. It was a story of beginnings and endings, It was a story where some dreams were realized and others weren't. Who We Are was the story of two people living, loving, and growing. It was also the story of learning that family isn't necessarily those related by blood. This band of hot rockers, along with Ellie and her crew show you just what family is... :)

Good Story - another cliff hanger - ahhh hate that

Really, please write it as one book or wrap up the first one with a hint of wanting the next but don't end it in the middle of the story. That's just wrong and disrespectful of readers. The story is average. Kept me engaged but drug on with same stuff over and over but liked the characters enough to stay involved in the book as fast forward through it in places. Narration was great.

Their story

This book was enjoyable. Yes, however during the whole of the book the MCL had a girlfriend and fiancé nothing is ever discussed about his sleeping habits with her, so I’m assuming he continued to have sex with her too the cheating aspect was a problem for me. He constantly promised not to F*** up anymore. The first book in the series had the MCL constantly with all kinds of women. I probably wouldn’t have listened to this due to the cheating aspect. Had plenty of angst.

Too much darkness, not enough rock.

Wow, I was really hoping for better. This book is so dark, and the overall theme of too little too late prevails. A rocker romance with the worlds boring-est rock band. Again I find myself listening to simplistic problems, with obvious solutions, dragged through a teen aged girls diary. More dumb choices by the characters, and antagonists with no substance. Really, that's all you had to do to beat them? Why didn't you think of that 14 chapters ago? This book is so pouffy I'm not surprised that the ending was a cliché.

Give Me A Real Alpha!!!

Doped up on anything that would sweeten the agonies. My kind of girl. I'm totally like this when my heart's broken.
Anyway, why is Gage so weak in this one... spineless. He was much fiercer in book one. Ugh... can anyone say FRUSTRATED!??? Well, at least Ellie has more balls in this book. I totally love this girl. And someone punch that bitch already... PENELOPE! Oh right, thanks Eliza... definitely more balls than Gage.
I want Roy... and Montana...

I'm still surprise at how this captured me!

I was pulled into the story and lives of these people. Great job, S. Q. Williams! The book was truly brought to life by Christian Fox, and Veronica Meunch. Great job ! I laughed, tears were shed, emotions were all over the place a sign of a great job in story telling. Hearing both the female and male voices, especially, when they match the character, well, it's priceless. You have to start with the first book, keep with the story, and get pulled in. Thanks Audible, I love this type of book.
