About this listen

Sniper Pierce "One-Mile" Walker nearly had everything he ever wanted - until a fateful mission stripped it all away. Now an outcast, he's forced to watch the off-limits beauty who stole his heart slip through his fingers. Left with nothing but revenge, he's determined to defeat evil and win her back. But when he learns she's planning a future without him, he vows he'll break every rule and defy all odds to make her his again - forever.

Brea Bell was always a good girl...until Pierce Walker. Despite everyone's warnings, she gave the rough warrior her body - and her heart. When she receives news that shatters her world, he devastates her by walking away. Terrified of losing all she's ever known, Brea tucks away her dreams and commits to a "safe" future. Then Pierce appears in the dead of night, challenging and seducing her. Brea isn't sure she can trust him...but she also can't say no.

Angry and betrayed, he leaves to pursue vengeance, while her sins are exposed to the world, forcing her to fight painful battles. Can Brea and Pierce conquer the dangers that threaten their happily ever after...or will fate wrench them apart forever?

Great book.. excellent Narrator!!

I’ve been a Shayla Black fan for many years. I am a big fan of the Wicked books and loved this one. Brea and One-Mile are such a fit.. even though she’s an innocent and he’s an operative.

This story has it all for me. I enjoyed every minute of it!! Bring on more!!

Wicked Ever After

Wicked Ever After by Shayla Black was an excellent read/audio. I always read book first then listen later. I've found I pick up different things by doing this. This book was great with excellent characters. The story was so good I encourage you all to check it out. The series is one you don't want to miss.

Great Part 2 Sequel

Great story with excellent narration by Troy Durand who is one of my top favorite audible actors. The one minus for me was my anticipated follow up to tie up loose ends but instead it went directly to the next story which sounds like another great one.

Epilogue Means - Finish one story before you begin another.

I would have liked to hear about the birth and their new life as husband and wife…. but, I was disappointed.

Sexy Intrigue

Loved the characters and dynamics though the Cutter/Brea situation seemed so obvious. But sometimes one is blinded by love. Lots of intrigue with the mafia involvement. Loved the ending!! Exactly as I hoped.

Enjoyed the narration. His deep voice is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥!!!

Entertaining story

Shayla Blacks books are always entertaining, but it was hard getting past the narrator. also, these are not standalone books. You definitely should read them in order.

3.7 ⭐️

I almost gave up on this book early on because it didn’t come close to living up to the first one. I wasn’t expecting the miscommunication trope, which is one of the tropes I can’t stand, and I didn’t know it was going to be a “thing” going in. I was just so eager to continue from the cliffhanger in book 1.

What really frustrated me was how weak and immature Brea became in this book. She completely failed to speak up for One Mile when everyone had the wrong impression about their relationship. Not once did she step in to correct the false narration that circulated about them. She let him be humiliated, and I felt so bad for him. Despite his difficult past, he was such a stand-up guy that it made me question whether Brea even deserved him anymore.

When One Mile finally shared the painful story about his father, I was moved to tears. It made me wish Brea had shown him the love and support he needed from the beginning instead of acting so thoughtlessly. I honestly didn’t like her at all by the end of this book despite loving her in book 1. It felt like two different people.

Another thing that stood out to me was a scene where she walked in while he was with her dad, and instead of choosing to sit with him, she sits at the table then chooses her father? 🙄 That felt really odd to me, almost like she was completely out of touch with what was going on. She was never really there for him other than here and there… he was the one always convincing her… it got tiring…

I will probably won’t finish the series or may come back later because I’m still sour about Brea and the next one is a single mom trope and this almost always annoy me… they never get this right… so who knows… maybe this would be different…with That said, Troy Duran’s narration was, as always, perfect!

Missing Christian Fox

Definitely missing Christian Fox for Book 2. Troy Duran is great for reading grizzly, blue collar, and biker types, but not women. Struggling to finish this audio book despite the fact that I am eager to complete Brea and One Mile's story.
