Publisher's summary

Alastair Campbell knows all about winning. As Tony Blair's chief spokesman and strategist, he helped guide his party to victory in three successive elections, and he's fascinated by what it takes to succeed.

How do sportsmen excel, entrepreneurs thrive, or individuals achieve their ambitions? Is their ability to win innate? Or is the winning mind-set something we can all develop?

In the tradition of The Talent Code and The Power of Habit, Campbell draws on the wisdom of an astonishing array of talented people - from elite athletes to media mavens, from rulers of countries to rulers of global business empires. Alastair Campbell has conducted in-depth interviews and uses his own experience in politics and sport to get to the heart of success. He examines how winners tick. He considers how they build great teams. He analyzes how these people deal with unexpected setbacks and new challenges. He judges what the very different worlds of politics, business, and sport can learn from one another. And he sets out a blueprint for winning that we can all follow to achieve our goals.

Good

A bit runny and overkill but certainly quality! You will know the true formula in the first couple chapters, OST!

Fades away after first third.

First point I’d make is this is now a bit dated. If you are interested in the new Labour machine there are some gems in there. But Campbell has got a lot of stuff wrong here (with the benefit of hindsight) in terms of the businesses and people that he praises - who we all know now are failures.

I think that strikes at the heart of the problem here. Campbell is talking a lot about sportsmen and entrepreneurs, but he is neither and that makes this book a pretty shallow retelling of other peoples stories with little further insight from the author.

All Winners Must Know That

So if your reading this your are curious about what most winners must know to win in life.. And it’s very simple.

So to become a real winner in its truest form compared to a loser; A winner knows it ALL or @ least knows it all in whatever area of life that they are trying to be successful in..

Like compared to a loser; a winner knows how to never give up, a real winner knows how to focus & Pay attention to detail.. A winner knows how to yada yada yada

Basically a winner knows more than the loser on how to get things done.. And that’s the biggest DIFFERENCE..

A winner Knows and a Loser woes
