About this listen

Liam Montgomery will try everything once. He started his career as a model and turned that opportunity into becoming a bestselling author. The only thing he hasn’t tried is a steady relationship.

Not that he’s looking for one.

Arden Brady doesn’t get out much.

Living with Lupus means sometimes her days aren’t her own. She’s lived her life to the fullest so far, but the one thing she’s never let herself do is fall in love.

Then comes Liam.

A chance encounter changes the game, and both will have to risk everything they thought important to make this work. Because family secrets and unplanned heartache aren’t the only things trying to tear them apart. But if they’re lucky, the passion between them might just make this romance thing something they can believe in.

**Wrapped in Ink is a friends to lovers, who hurt you, opposites attract romance in the Montgomery Ink: Boulder series featuring Liam and Arden. Each book can be listened to as a complete standalone. An HEA is guaranteed!**

Liam & Arden are swoon worthy

This is the first book I have listened to by Carrie Ann Ryan and I have to say that I am impressed. I now need to go and listen to the rest of the books she has on Audible. I really enjoyed how she incorporated Arden's immune disorder into the book. Arden was sick, but was able to find someone who loved everything about her. As a person with an autoimmune disorder, I was happy to see how realisticly the disease was portrayed. A great read.

Paragons fall to earth

Good to know the Montgomery patriarchal paragons aren't immune to HUGE mistakes of ommision. That one really threw me for a loop, and I'm angry at the parents for 35 years of lies!!! Red, red, rage!!! I liked that Arden has a chronic illness and she's not perfect because it made the story more real. I liked that Liam saw past the disease to the person beneath and pursued a relationship with her. Great emotional story. The narrator did an excellent job. I voluntarily listened to a free audio of this story and am giving an honest review .

great start to a new series

This first book in this new spin off series was a good read that I enjoyed as all of the other Montgomery Ink books. Where this group does not have the ink side of the Montgomery's dominate the book they all hold the same values. This group is definitely a dynamically different group of siblings than the others and I enjoyed that aspect of them. I was a bit fearful at first with Liam being an author just as Griffin was in the original series but the two characters are nothing alike. I enjoyed that both Liam and Arden had careers that were similar but not the same and I also liked that both of their families were involved. The pair both had issues that they needed to work out - Liam with the family secret that he just learned about and Arden with her health issues. I liked how their story moved along and gave the feel that nothing was going to get in the pair's way. I enjoyed this book from the start and I also enjoyed the narration by Joe Arden in the audio book format as well. Mr. Arden continues to be a favorite narrator of mine and he did a great job bringing this story to life. I would recommend this book to others.

Great story

Liam and Arden were great. I loved their meeting at a hospital as this was a different way to meet. She is in there for treatment of her disease that won’t ever be cured and he has an accident at a friends wedding. After meeting and he gets her number, an event at home sends him for a loop and he doesn’t call. When they happen to meet again he doesn’t make the mistake of not setting up another meeting with her again. Slowly they learn more about each other. Liam starts to realize that what started as a bit of a distraction from his recent problems may be leading to something more. Arden also has to decide how much to let Liam in to her life. Great characters and chemistry and I loved learning about them. Fantastic read!

Joe Arden does a great job narrating this story

A must listen

If you are a fan of Carrie Ann Ryan's, or really any romance, this is a must read.

Liam and Arden are the closest to real people, I think, than pretty much any other characters in romance. I think the best thing about this book was that it wasn't overly sweet, overly romantic, or overly simple. They had real issues in their lives apart and real issues in their life together. I loved that all the issues were handled without all the extra angst that authors like to add. Their HEA is not like most other romance HEAs, but it's true to them and that's what makes it a perfect ending.

Another Great Listen!

This is the first book in the Montgomery Ink-Boulder series and we got to meet Liam in the last book in the Colorado Springs Montgomery's. When an accident lands Liam in the ER, he is just looking for a distraction in order to make the time pass and keep his mind off things. Arden has been in and out of the hospital for years. She may not always look sick, but the sickness is always there. Just waiting. And she has learned the hard way that the only people she can rely on are herself and her family. She truly doesn't expect Liam. And when they start spending time together, neither expects the other to come to mean quite so much.

I absolutely loved this one! It brings to light the fact that so many people suffer in silence with diseases that you may not see on the surface. So many people may look perfectly healthy-when in reality they really aren't, and are fighting a battle that you have no idea about. But this book also points out that even if you are struggling, there are still people who are good and can be there and love you regardless. Liam isn't perfect by any means. He was struggling with his own issues and I completely understand how he could be. But even though he was struggling, he still sticks around and is there for Arden when she needs him. He still takes the time to be there and present. And that to me was everything. Not many people truly stick around, and the ones who do? They are beautiful souls! And then you throw in Arden, who definitely got the short end of the stick when it comes to her health. But she still finds ways to be happy and just keep pushing through. And together? Together they become perfect, when apart they definitely aren't. And those new side characters? Let's just say I definitely need some books about Arden's brothers!!

Joe Arden does an incredible job narrating and has this smooth voice that I could just listen to over and over again. So not only was the story great but listening to it was as well!
