  • Getting support expands you in mom life + business
    Jul 5 2024

Getting the support you need expands you in so many ways. As a mom your energy is the dominant energy in your home.

If you are constantly overwhelmed, frazzled, and running around like a chicken with your head cut off, what do you think those around you will pick up on?

Our kids pick up on the energy we bring into the home and not to sound cliche, but have you heard the song, “If mama ain’t happy?”

    There is truth to it!

And here’s the thing, you GET to receive the support you desire to have and there is nothing wrong with the desire because here’s what support gives you….

More time to do something you desire.

More space for yourself so that you show up as a more present + patient mom.

More time to do the things that will move the needle in your business.

And the list goes on and on and on.

So, when you think about hiring a housekeeper or someone to do your laundry, what comes up for you?

Maybe it’s the usual, “But I ‘should’ be doing this” or maybe even the good ‘ol I’m home all day ego voice talking in your head?

The desire was placed in your heart for a reason and when you make the choice to get support in an area of your life or business that you don’t enjoy, then it opens up more space for you to expand and do more of what you love as a mom AND CEO.

This all leads to creating a life that feels good and you enjoy more.

And when you enjoy life more as a mom… your family will too!

It’s not our job to ‘should’ all over ourselves continuing dated patterns and behaviors that we grew up with.

It’s up to us to see things differently, recreate our reality into something we desire more, and make it happen so that we truly create a life we love with kids in tow.

  • It's not your job because your a mom
    Jul 1 2024

Society has lied to us. And we nearly fell for it. I mean, I did fall for it for a while and then I learned better.

Growing up I learned that as a mom, it was our duty to sacrifice all and take care of everyone else.

Media teaches us this, my parents taught me this, and my religion.

And the thing is… it’s all a lie.

There is nothing that triggers me more than when I hear women say, “my husband asks me what I do all day if the house isn’t clean.”

I mean, the amount of pressure that is placed upon us as women… no wonder we feel as though we are drowning + failing at everything.

I used to have this constant thought of never doing enough.

I couldn’t stay on top of it all and I used to wonder how women did it.

And then I had an epiphany when I heard a girl I went to high school with talk about her team on Instagram.

Whoa, what? A team? I thought she had been doing it all alone.

But the truth is, we weren’t made to.

And a lot of times we have these unwritten scripts about how we ‘should’ behave as a mom, a husband, a woman, etc…

And the truth of it is, we are the ones who decide.

You get to choose how your life goes. What you are available for. What you aren’t available for.

And you get to have support with it all.

When you are your most empowered self, you know that it’s ok for people to be wrong about you.

You understand that only you need to know why you do what you do.

You get to have your inner peace + know that it’s safe for others to be mad at you.

And you also know that it’s not your job to try to ‘fix it’ when they are.

That is there’s to carry and you are carrying what’s yours + living your best life with pure intention and that’s the vibe around here.

  • Stop doing EVERYTHING for your kids
    Jun 28 2024

As a mom, I feel like a lot of us kind of fall into the trap from the beginning of doing everything. I mean, it makes sense when our kids are babies, then young toddlers, and such.

But as they get older, we continue the pattern of carrying it all and I want to help you shift that today.

Things get to feel different, things get to look the way you decide they look, and life gets to feel good for you where you also feel supported as a mom.

And one way to start doing this is to stop carrying it all for our kids.

It is not your job to pick up all the toys, put all the clothes away, and spend your days reminding your kids to get their stuff done.

We get to raise happy, healthy, independent + confident kids while being supported.

As I noticed that I was still carrying out the same patterns I had picked up from early motherhood when my kids were a little bit older, I realized it was no longer serving me… or them.

Our job as moms is to teach our kids about what the mental load is. To be problem solvers. To look around and see what needs to be done instead of being annoyed with us ‘nagging’ all the time.

And in this episode I’m teaching you how I’ve shifted the way I show up as a mom to do just that.

I love sharing what has worked for me, what hasn’t, and what I’m currently in the process of shifting because something didn’t work the way I’d hoped.

We were never made to do this perfectly. Our kids wouldn’t thrive if we were perfect.

We are here to show up as our best + most empowered selves and teach our kids the best we can.

That’s all we can do is… our best and continue to work toward getting better + better each day.
