Carl Gugasian, known as "The Friday Night Bank Robber", who served a 17-year sentence for armed robbery. He robbed more than 50 banks over a 30-year period of a total of more than $2 million.

On May 16, 2007 Louis Lamonica, Jr., walked into Detective Stan Carpenter's office in Livingston, Louisiana and confessed to some of the most vile and repulisive acts ever uttered. Lamonica was the pastor of the nearby Hosanna Church. Lamonica told deputies that he and other church members had performed satanic rituals, animal sacrifice and sexual abuse of at least 24 children in the church. and the case continues to shake the community and was the inspiration for True Detective Season 1.

Terrance Yeakey was a sergeant in the Oklahoma City Police Department. He was one of the first responders at the site of the Oklahoma City bombing, rescuing at least four people. A year later he was dead by what was ruled as a suicide by gunshot. However, his manner of death remains disputed to this day. 

On the afternoon of October 23, 1988, a the body of 26-year-old Anna Jean Kane was found on a hiking trail near  Shoemakersville, PA. When Anna’s remains were recovered, she was fully clothed, had facial bruises, and a rope fastened around her neck . Still, her case went cold until an anymous letter was sent to the local paper with information that only the killer would know, as well as DNA on the envelope. Over three decades later, people believe they have now solved the case. 

For millions of Americans, George Reeves was no mortal man. He was the Man of Steel. Gaining fame playing Superman in the Adventures of Superman serial during the 1950's, Reeves established himself as an important piece of American pop culture. However, Reeves had a dark side. He drank constantly. He associated with seedy characters in Hollywood. He through parties at his home nearly every night. It was during one of these parties that he met his demise. Was it suicide? Or did one of the guests have it in for Reeves?
