  • The Enlightened Passenger with Corey Poirier
    Jul 17 2024
"Synchronicity is about recognizing meaningful coincidences and inviting more of them into your life." – Corey Poirier ------------------------------------------------------------------- In a recent episode of my talk show, "Joseph Jaffe is not Famous," I had the pleasure of hosting Corey Poirier, an acclaimed author, speaker, and entrepreneur, to discuss his new book, "The Enlightened Passenger." This conversation was not just about a book launch; it was an enlightening exploration of synchronicity, purpose, and the profound lessons we can learn from the seemingly mundane experiences of life. Some highlights from our discussion included: 1. Saying "no" can be as important as saying "yes" for maintaining balance and focus in life and business. It's important to be clear and direct when setting boundaries. 2. Building long-term relationships through genuine giving over time makes it easier for influential people to say "yes" when you have an ask. 3. Using creativity and personalization in branding, outreach, and product promotion can help projects and ideas stand out from the crowd. 4. Keeping a "synchronicity journal" may help increase awareness of meaningful coincidences in one's life. 5. Regular self-reflection, like considering what you'd prioritize if you only had one day left, can motivate living more purposefully each day. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Here are the show notes: The power of "no" in entrepreneurship and personal growth. • Closed Beta as a Go-To-Market Strategy
    Jul 1 2024
I'm currently a closed beta tester of Nelson Epega's social audio startup, Chatter. It's the second coming of social audio and picks up where Clubhouse fumbled and dropped the ball. In this morning's Collective Cafe (which now takes place exclusively in Chatter), I dedicated the conversation to closed betas as a best practice in terms of go to market and rollout strategy. The importance of setting clear rules and expectations for a closed beta community to ensure a positive experience. Gathering detailed user feedback is critical to identifying improvements and refining the product before public launch. Founders should be actively engaged with beta testers through discussions, responding to feedback, and showing appreciation for contributions. Inviting influential early adopters and creators can help generate excitement and high-quality content to establish the brand and value proposition. Maintaining transparent communication with beta testers and keeping them informed of updates helps build trust and engagement in the community. Learn more about your ad choices. • The Nuanced No
    Mar 15 2024
Started slow, but with audience participation in both Clubhouse and Discord, there were some super strong insights and conversation around Mindset, Prioritization and Focus! This was episode 181 of our week-daily virtual coffee, which takes place in Konktown’s discord server: discord.gg/konktown and Clubhouse’s Startup Club House from 8-9am EST. It's free and open to anyone from anywhere in the world. Some key highlights from the last 30 minutes of the transcript include: Discussing the concept of living in "crescendo", where one chooses to embrace open opportunities and live in the present, rather than dwelling on past accomplishments or fearing the future. Emphasizing the importance of making a conscious choice to prioritize the best days ahead, rather than dwelling on the past. Encouraging reflection on one's path and journey, and questioning whether one's best days are ahead or behind them. Highlighting the importance of evaluating quality based on meaningful connections rather than superficial ones or quantity of connections. Sharing insights on developing a "nuanced no" approach and considering one's lifeforce when deciding whether to take on new opportunities or say no. Show notes based on our discussion (as per Otter.ai's beta tool): Using AI tools and building community. (1:29) Mastering stories and improving communication. (6:19) Living in crescendo vs. me endo. (9:27) Life's meaning and how it's perceived in different languages. (18:30) Life, relationships, and positivity. (22:33) Personal growth and transformation. (29:22) Evaluating quality vs quantity in life and relationships. (36:31) Pursuing dreams despite life's challenges. (43:17) Saying no and setting boundaries for mental transformation.
