  • Are We Still Beautiful?
    Nov 8 2022

This week we spoke to Katie Conally about beauty and how it has evolved over the past 100 years.  Motherhood requires us to see beauty differently and more deeply.  However, it is difficult to accept the lack of time that we have to devote to our physical appearance after having children.  We discuss the fear that women have of aging and the simple steps that we can take to prevent/embrace it.  Katie recommends double cleansing, using a retinol cream, and moisturizer if you are starting at zero and have minimal time.

  • Mom Strength with Courtney Peace
    Aug 16 2022

Courtney Peace joins Liz and Angie to chat about fitness and health.

It can be a struggle for moms, especially when trying to bounce back from babies.
Courtney explains her philosophy on fitness and the need to reframe how we view our bodies as tools/machines that work for us. She emphasizes that moms' focus should be on training themselves mentally and physically to perform the tasks required as mothers.

They discuss different workout techniques that
Courtney likes to use for most moms, like HIIT, Tabata, and circuit training. She also explains that the fitness piece will not work if we aren’t fueling our bodies correctly and that we need to “eat from the earth.” Hot topics like “body positivity” and how our culture views beauty are discussed. They conclude by talking about what we want to teach our daughters and the importance of being healthy examples to them.

This week, Kortney Wilson joins Angie and Liz on the Down With The Picket Fence Podcast!

Kortney is a mom to 3 teenagers, an award-winning realtor, a TV show host, an author, and the founder of Kort & Co.
