Episode 2: Two Decades in Fredericksburg and the Texas Hill Country

  • Summary

  • Fredericksburg, and its place in the Texas Hill Country, was certainly different in 2000. It was just making the transition from a small German community to what would become the tourist destination of today. The small town charm attracted me here two decades ago, and you can still find that today. In this podcast I visit with David Marwitz who has been a resident of the Texas Hill Country for many years and recruited me back to the Texas Hill Country. Fredericksburg really taught me to cook, especially big steaks over wood fire. We talk about the past and the present and what makes Fredericksburg such a special place.
