    Ed Sheeran, David Beckham and many more celebs have got them. It seems to be a growing trend but one that is actually for the better; its beekeeping. What is it about these fascinating creatures that is attracting people all over the world to keep them?

    Unlike us this week who had a bit of a run in with flying insects, Zahira Nedjraoui definitely finds her flow with her bees. She is a mother of 2, her day job is with Dubai Holding and she is also a beekeeper or apiculturist who founded the UAE’s first Beekeepers Association. Since starting in 2005 over 200 people have attended the beekeeping courses. She also set up an educational Bee Garden at The Sustainable City. She has a wonderful story about how she was first introduced to bees and then fell in love with these fascinating creatures.

  • Flow 003 - An ode to the ‘fun old girls’, with Mohammed Saeed Harib

    Mohammed Saeed Harib is an animator best known for being the creator and producer of the incredibly successful cartoon series ‘Freej’, (meaning “neighbourhood” in local dialect). It follows the lives of four gossiping grandmothers dressed in Bedouin face-masks who are trying to cope with the dramatic changes of 21st-century Dubai.

    He also directed FREEJ FOLKLORE, the largest Arabic theatrical production in the region and is the founder of Lammtara Studios. Loreta has known Mohamed for many years and we take a trip down memory lane to find out how they first met and worked together. We so enjoyed our conversation with Mohammed, he was exceptionally open and honest about what motivated and drove him to create Freej in spite of the many years of struggling to get it off the ground. He also shares with us how he finds his flow.
