  • Summary

  • Gateways to Awakening is a gateway for your own spiritual journey. Today, people are suffering from stress and anxiety like no other time in history. Mental illness is on the rise, and people are either self-medicating or numbing out with a variety of distractions. In one on one conversations with leading experts in wellness and spirituality, Gateways to Awakening will share best practices and offer a gateway to help those who are interested to expand their awareness and consciousness. We’ll be asking these questions and more: How can we become more connected to ourselves and bring greater awareness to our lives? How can we connect with our own voice and intuition and be on the highest life path possible? Is there a greater intelligence, a primordial, intuitive intelligence, beyond just what we can access through our five senses today? For the modern-day seekers, Gateways to Awakening asks these questions and explores conversations with experts in their fields. I’ll be talking to a variety of guests from Ph.D. academics in Reiki, Shiatsu, binaural beats, Chinese medicine practitioners, mystics, and even one of the leading experts on The Secret. I ask that you stay curious with me, as we navigate these questions and more with our guests. This is your journey, so pay attention to what makes you feel expansive and lighter.

  • How water, ritual immersion and the elementals can teach us with Jobi Manson
    Aug 1 2024

On today’s episode, I speak with Jobi Manson, a visual artist & sculptor working in the mediums of water, light, sound, & stone. Her curiosities have led her deep into the dimensions that exist beyond language — straight into the heart of matter, time, & the space between.

In 2015, Jobi birthed Sēfari, a platform for simple & elemental experiences that merge science, nature, and art in the pursuit of psychosomatic evolution. Jobi’s practice helps people return to their truest essence — using water x sound, participants sink into the unknown and merge with the dynamic range of their depth & potential. Sēfari partnerships have included In Goop Health, The Class by Taryn Toomey, Refinery 29, Soho House, among others. She is in private practice in Malibu, California.

We talk about the following and so much more:

✅ What water means to her. What are the elementals, and why are they important in integrating into our day to day life?

✅ What are the qualities of water and ritual immersion that are so transformative and healing?

✅ What role does water and sound play in facilitating the journey of returning to one's truest essence?

✅ What is a Sefari? How she came up with the name and what the journey is like

✅ How she incorporate sscience, nature, and art into the experiences offered through Sēfar

Exceptional and transformative

Absolutely powerful and moving! The host Yasmeen Turayhi is so authentic and inviting. Her interviews with a range of different experts, authors and leaders are thought provoking, inspiring with sprinkles of light hearted humor to make it so engaging that you are disappointed when it ends so fast. But with so many episodes you can keep coming back for more! I have bought several books from people she has interviewed and it's directed my path to remembering my purpose and leading to living my life in a wholehearted, authentic way. I am deeply grateful for the change this podcast has inspired in my daily life.
