  • How to Go From Running Through The Motions to Living A Life You LOVE!!

    This week we are going to talk about actions you can take TODAY to create a life you LOVE! 


    Have a Plan in Place:

    • Check lists
    • Calendar 
    • Schedule appointments
    • Time blocking (Google keep)
    • Timers for Productivity


    Do A Gut Check Every Week:

    • Why are you putting things off and procrastinating?
    • Is it laziness?
    • Are your goals too big? You may need to break them down into bite-sized actionable items. 
    • Do you struggle with comparing your present to past failures?
    • Are you lacking focus? 


    You May Need Some Reflection

    • How can you plan better for next week? (brain dump, checklist, meal plan, meal prep, grocery order, automated messages, schedule into your day important tasks or meetings, put systems in place).
    • What can you do to limit distractions? (limit social media, set timers, set reminders/alarms, talk to yourself before you start a task &&& remind yourself to focus on JUST THAT & nothing else).
    • Do you have a budget or a financial plan for the week, month, year, etc.?
    • Reiterate your goals and WHY you’re going to work hard towards them so you have purpose behind what you are doing.



    Realign Yourself:

    Don't be afraid to adjust and make changes.

    On this week's episode we are diving deeper into boundaries ... specifically red flags, things to look for and how to navigate, setting and communicating them. Boundaries are essential in all relationships and set the tone for the expectations of everyone involved.

    RED FLAGS

    • posting personal rants and attacks on social media
    • no filter or regard to who you share your daily details with
    • sharing personal details with new friends or coworkers in hopes of hurrying the friendship along
    • dominated, one-sided conversations or not being there for each other in a mutually beneficial relationship
    • expecting on-call emotional therapy from friends and family

    YOUR RIGHTS

    • I have a right to say no without feeling guilty. No is a complete sentence.
    • I have a right to be treated with respect.
    • I have a right to make my needs as important as others.
    • I have a right to be accepting of my mistakes and failures.
    • I have a right not to meet others’ unreasonable expectations of me.

    Ways to set boundaries with people:

    • How often they can call you
    • Having to ask before coming over
    • How long they can stay
    • Not disturb you at work
    • Don't be afraid to say no to things you don't want to do


    No is a complete sentence. You don’t owe anyone an explanation


    Say no to things that don’t serve you. 


    By setting boundaries, you are telling others how you want and expect to be treated. You are setting your limits about who can come into your space and what you expect of them once they're there. It's all about mutual respect and setting boundaries that work for YOU!
