From a kid that was supposed to die before reaching adulthood, to a man who served his community with passion and purpose! David was born into small-town Texas life. He was raised by parents who taught him morals, values, personal accountability, and discipline. He was told throughout his childhood that he would not live very long. As a result of losing his fear of death, he learned that nothing was truly out of reach. With great ambition, David decided to become an accountant and an attorney. He parlayed that education into a long career of public service by being elected to Hardin County Attorney. He served in that role for 16 years. He was then elected as the District Attorney for Hardin County Texas. While David may seem meek and soft spoken, behind his huge smile is a man determined to make his mark in our world in every way possible! He was just a young man fresh from high school when our great nation was attacked on 9/11/2001. This tragedy inspired hi to enlist in our military and that set him on his path of success! He is a true overcomer, and great story of service to his culture and community!

Our culture and communities are experiencing an enormous need for the role of the father in the family to be honored and brought to the forefront of discussions.

This conversation must include the topic of mental health and more especially men's mental health. This is a beautiful opportunity to approach this subject in a safe, loving and accepting environment.

No matter where you are, no matter what you do, no matter what you may have done, no matter who you are this topic has and will have an impact on your life!

It is NEVER too late to be a dad or a father figure/mentor. As long as a man is still alive, he can have a genuine, guiding, positive impact on someone else and her them know that they are ENOUGH.
