    Remembering Officer Tara O'Sullivan

You never want to lose an officer; it's honestly the worst-case scenario. Early in my career, we lost one of our own. It was one of the hardest days I've ever experienced and a stark reality of this job that every 911 dispatcher has to understand. This week’s episode falls on the anniversary of Officer Tara O'Sullivan's passing, and I felt compelled to remember her.

Tara served with bravery, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to her community. Her sacrifice is a profound reminder of the dangers our law enforcement officers face every day to keep us safe. Tara's vibrant spirit and passion for helping others left an indelible mark on everyone she met. Her legacy of service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Good info but not for CA

This was a good and encouraging episode. But it isn't helpful for CA specifically Bay area people. I applied for Dispatch, completed the 75 page application and 39 page background. Passed the very hard test, interview process and was disqualified by the investigator. What I found discouraging is that I work for a Federal agency so I don't think there is anything in my background that he could have found. I actually disclosed something that was expunged from my record over 10 years ago just being honest. Passed the polygraph. I jumped through all of those hoops only to be told no. Well there is no wonder they are short handed if they are turning qualified people away with no explanation. I said I wouldn't apply again because that experience was horrible but because of this episode I might give it another go
