  • Episode 10: A Candid Conversation with Lauren Candies Tarpley
    Feb 21 2022

“I was diagnosed in September of 2020. My substitute doctor - because my doctor was out with COVID - told me that it was an ingrown hair.”

Believe it or not, this was the beginning of Lauren Candies Tarpley's breast cancer diagnosis. She knew instinctually something was wrong, was able to get a mammogram 30 minutes later, and the rest is history. This episode is a casual and candid conversation about our breast cancer experiences, how women are treated in the medical field, guardian angels and the universe, the monster who gave me a ticket after spending 5 hours at Sloan Cancer Center, a scary staph infection, and so, so much more.

  • Episode 9: IVF, Pregnancy, Survivorhood, Oh My! with Emily Rich
    Feb 7 2022

Emily Rich froze embryos before breast cancer treatment - and got pregnant! (Even though my advice was not to have kids - kidding! Being a mother is the most amazing and difficult thing I’ve ever done.) Hear about her cancer journey - where it all started and where she is now, including the IVF roller coaster and how choosing to have kids through this process actually gave her a sense of control over her cancer diagnosis.
